how could it be heplful when you provide a camera that overheats after 1 hour of recording... exactly with podcasts that need hours of continous recording.

Kind of wild how expensive most of this gear is. Especially considering getting multiple cameras for several angles. The "prosumer" Sony camera needs a bunch of work arounds to shoot long 4k video? Why not just use a phone at that point? LOL
i guess the best camera for podcast will be a7iii it costs about 1000 dollar i guess and i guess it doesnt overheat, but give you good 4k 30fps results
I appreciate the camera recommendations, I own the ZVII and the A7III. But you mentioned something in the beginning of your video. You brought up the auto shut off feature. That's what brought me to this video. That's the issue I'm facing with the A7III. I use the dummy battery and the camlink but it still cuts off at about an hour. Sometimes we go a little longer than that so I'm actually looking for a camera that doesn't have a shutoff at all that produces similar quality as the A7III Any advice there?
I noticed that you did not recommend any digital video cameras, but rather DSLR cameras. Can you explain why one would not want to use a camera designed for video?
For long podcast purposes, why not go with the a7C rather the a7iiin since the C doesn't have a video record time limit and can also use the Sony lens lineup?
I also have a podcast myself, but more as a hobby! But I think it would be great fun to make a video of it sometime. But is a GoPro 10 also suitable for that? Because I do have that

@@JessicaTellian it'll still happen but you'll get more camera time before it does. I went from 30 mins to a little over an hour now before it overheats
@@podsoundschool I will be. I am currently using the Insta360 Link which is an incredible Webcam. I got a Rode StreamerX that I will be running it through. I also have the Rode Wireless Pros and may be switching to that as well.
It boasts some features that are maybe better than the a7iii. But the sensor on the camera is a crop sensor, so you don't get the full frame. But it's selling points are: -It has a FLIP SCREEN!!! -Megapixels: The a6700 has 26 MP, while the a7 III has 24.2 MP. -Autofocus Points: The a6700 has 759 autofocus points, more than the a7 III's 693 points. -Video Capabilities: The a6700 is rated higher (91%) for video compared to the a7 III (56%).

Not shutting off is a quality measurement...or is it an option that other cameras would also provide?
For sound... Zoom PodTrak P4 or p8 if you need more mics
If you are using the 4k adapter you dont need to record to the sd card correct?
assuming your using something like obs to capture it

Mine overheats at 30 so I have the change the battery and let it cool off. But maybe the dummy battery would save that
