Sonic Heroes: Super Hard Mode - All Stages

- This is a video from me, DarkspinesSonic A.K.A Da1AndOnlySonic, showing Super Hard Mode in its entirety on Sonic Heroes for the Gamecube. Video 300 is finally here, and its something rather special as far as my account goes. Being that this is another hundred video, I decided to do something different. I listed 3 different things quite some time ago for to get an opinion of what the viewers wanted to see, which were an Egg Shuttle Run, Sonic Heroes Super Hard Mode, or Shadow the Hedgehog Expert Mode. The responses were rather mixed, but Sonic Heroes got the most love. The main thing I wanted video 300 to be was something that took advantage of being able to upload videos longer than 15 minutes, which all 3 of the options would do.
It was awesome playing through the Super Hard Mode stages again. My personal favorite is rail canyon for a rather obvious reason. Basically as I played through Super Hard Mode, I made 2 stipulations for myself.
A) Not allowed to take any damage that results in ring loss.
B) No deaths allowed.
If at any point I would lose rings or die, I would soft reset and re-do that corresponding level. In addition to this video showing every Super Hard Mode level, there are a few tricks, glitches, risks taken, and fooling around for both entertainment and informative purposes. Some of the tricks you may know, some you may not.
Another surprise you will see in video 300 is that you will have the option to choose 720p and 1080p. No, I don't have a HD PVR (yet), but you will notice a sharp increase in quality by picking either of those 2 (I recommend 720p if your cpu can't handle 1080p well). All of my future videos will have thi option of quality as well, but video 300 is the first. ;)

Here's what happened to me when I first played Sonic Heroes straight through.
1. Seaside Hill - OK, this game is going to be fun.
2. Ocean Palace - Cool, things are picking up.
3. Egg Hawk - Interesting Boss, but really easy.
4. Grand Metropolis - Still pretty easy.
5. Power Plant - WHAT IN THE WORLD!!!
6. Team Rose - OK?
7. Casino Park - Every time I keep losing!!!
8. BINGO Highway - WHAT?!!! Is this impossible or something?
9. Robot Carnival - (sigh)...Alright now. Just waiting for this to end so I can move on.
10. Rail Canyon - Confusing, but at least it's not terrorizing.
11. Bullet Station - Too many directions! Too many rails! I just missed every single one!
12. Egg Albatross - (Crying to tears).
13. Frog Forest - Ahhh...so peaceful.
14. Lost Jungle - (I just threw the controller at the T.V.)
15. Team Dark - I didn't ask for this fight.
16. Hang Castle - More like Troll Castle, but I'll just have to tolerate it.
17. Mystic Mansion - The developers made this game intentionally to make players hate life.
18. Robot Storm - Hard and long. I'm now questioning if I even want to play this game anymore.
19. Egg Fleet - Yeah! Finally, some cool action, and I'm actually winning.
20. Final Fortress - (Almost passed out after losing 100 times)
21. Egg Emperor - COME ON! REALLY?!!! I HAVE TO BE THAT TEDIOUS FOR THIS LONG?!!!
22. Team Sonic Levels - The biggest wake up call to my gaming skills.
23. Team Dark Levels - Only easy because I played Team Sonic Levels.
24. Team Rose Levels - Sure it's easy, but it's also lame.
25. Team Chaotic Levels - .................................................(No words to describe frustration)
26. Metal Madness - I can't cry anymore because I ran out of tears.
27. Metal Overlord - No more balloons? NO MORE BALLOONS? I'M OUT OF RINGS?!!! AAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!
28. Credits - I love this game!!!
The game requires the player to be very sensitive to every action he/she takes.
I personally don't find Team Chaotix that frustrating. Even Mystic Mansion Mission. No joke. My least favorite team is Team Rose only because it's easy and short. Not to say it's mediocre or bad, I just don't find it as challenging as the other teams.
I gave up at lost jungle.

It's pretty fun overall, some of the changes they make in the stages in order for you to progress I really like (and the speed of the boosters in Rail Canyon). :D
I'm sure you figured this out by now DSS(Or knew already), but if you tap the B button without pressing a direction, Knuckles will do a basic punch combo instead of his normal one. It chews up health and shatters shields at an alarming rate and gives Knuckles invincible frames during the punch. If you keep the punches up for a few seconds, he'll link it into an extension of his normal combo that has him do two wave punches in rapid succession, leaving you to chain back to the second and third hit of his normal combo or just go back to punching. It's really handy when you need to just beat on enemies without having him shit rocks everywhere.

LMFAO! Yeah, I found this out yesterday. It's very useful when you don't feel like slipping off of the edge. Something I feel is Sonic Heroes' biggest problem.

I was also kinda sad that they didn’t include any of the “vs team” battles in super hard mode 😭 it would’ve been nice to have a more challenging team battle
I remember the final level being too hard for me so my dad helped me beat it. Good times!

This run through of Heroes is top notch dude. Congrats! This game was one of my first games ever ( the other ones being Mario Kart Double Dash, Crash Nitro Kart and, oddly enough, the SpongeBob Movie Game). Good job!

After busting your ass to get all A rank, this doesn't seem super hard. I like that they called it Expert Mode in Shadow. It was a better name for this mode. Either way, I love what they did with Hang Castle and Mystic Mansion. Very fun/frustrating game. I love/hate it.

Jordan Dude I actually think Super Hard Mode is much harder than regular mode, I hate Super Hard Mode, because it’s way too hard, some of the level design is terrible and cheap.
@@theultimatefan999 idk i just unlocked super hard mode (lol don't ask why im playing sonic heroes now, in fact it's my first ever playthrough if the game even though i had it for like 12 years), but super hard mode doesn't seem hard at all, as OP said, it's really damn easy after working so hard on all A rank
Tareq Al-Hasan I Nah I think it was harder cuz some of the level design was really cheap and really hard and I hate that If you get a game over, you have to start all over, that’s BS. It’s better than Expert Mode from Shadow as that game sucked. Heroes is a way better game.
@@theultimatefan999 idk i didn't really game over, in fact i had tons of lives to spare. Never played shadow the hedgehog tho, but it looks like a boring ass game from what I heard, and after looking at gameplay it does in fact look boring seeing that you have to repeat it so many many times

You know what? I liked Sonic Heroes. Although some may claim that this was one of SEGA's mishaps, I know better. This game had unique settings and it was well thought out. It has alot of creativity we dont see in games today.

In the GC version, there's a glitch that lets you ride up the poles the moment they start rising - no need to wait for them to finish extending.
I recall being able to do this on the PC version as well.

I just started playing this game and its fun. This game honestly isn't that bad, the controls are a little sensitive(which was my only gripe with Shadow the Hedgehog) and most importantly, ITS FUN.

I know supposedly the biggest ghosts are only found in Super hard mode in Hang Castle, but I thought the big one in the hallway after the stature seen with Team Dark was just as big. I never stopped to find out for sure.
I wish there were the mini-bosses in this. It would be it more fun in my eyes

I got a game over at bullet station and haven't touched this mode since. I still wanna complete SHM one day, but I don't think I'll be able to without a ton of practice.

Many things were awesome! My favorite tricks were the one at the bridge in Grand Metropolis, and at the lasers in Casino Park, and those jumps at Frog Forest and Lost Jungle. I LOL'd at the beginning of Hang Castle xD

No Damage at all.
No Deaths.
Just like DarkspinesSonic!
If any damage or deaths, just restart the stage like I always do.

Shadow is suppose to be the one who says the "I got it" clip. I think this was a mistake added in by the programmers.
I feel like sonic games in general are very underrated.
I loved how you looked like you were going to die on Grand Metamorphosis and you kept flying and escaped die and even instead of going through defeating all those robots you used the flying glitch to save time:)

I'd have to say Casino Park and BINGO Highway were my favorite levels in the game. I say this because the level design and music were so awesome when I played it the first time.

You probably didn't watch the whole thing. There are some parts that are extremely difficult if you don't know them in advance and even if you do it's very hard to time it. You are constantly changing formations it's insane.
I like how you avoided Sonic's homing attack chain at the end of Mystic Mansion. That part almost always messes up for me.
