Jin was literally approached on the street by the talent scouts based on his looks. They brought him in and taught him to sing like a pro and he had to work very hard to learn dancing. The great thing is that Jin was going to school to be an actor and he is a natural comedian, so he has done very well on camera

I love all of the BTS members but Jin’s voice always makes me feel so emotional. I always feel like his voice is giving me a loving hug, warm and gentle. Jin is the Astronaunt who crashed to earth was out of place but found a friend in a little girl Amy and decided his home was earth in the end. Amy represents ARMY and the song is saying he's going away for a while which of course he did 18months in the military and that he's returning. He's only just returned and the next day he did a fan concert and hugged a line 1,000 fans one at a time.

My Universe is a Coldplay x BTS song (banger!) and when Jin was leaving to go to the military, he asked Chris Martin to help him make a song as a “goodbye for now” for ARMY. And The Astronaut was born. 🥰 You can hear Chris doing the backing vocals throughout. There are several interviews with Chris Martin talking about working with BTS and he has so many lovely things to say about them. There’s also a little documentary about them recording My Universe which I think you should check out. It’s about 12-15 mins long iirc. There is also a live performance of this song with Coldplay in Argentina. Jin flew out to join Coldplay for one night just to perform this once for ARMY before he went to the military. The day after he was released, he performed it again. It always makes me cry. 🥹 Beautiful song. 💜 Edited to add: It’s a song about the love Jin has for ARMY. He considers ARMY his family. The little girl represents ARMY. Jin is the astronaut. His spaceship crashed on Earth and is broken. He wanders around while waiting for it to go “home”. He befriends the little girl and she ends up making Earth feel like home. So he goes back to spaceship and then decides to stay. We see him walking away as it takes off. Then he goes back to his house and completes the crossword. We hear the bell from the girls bicycle which makes him smile. He’s finally HOME. 😁
Yes his type of songs might reflect more of songs sang by bands…you could tell his musical influences are from there just like Coldplay, Goo Goo Dolls… for me the songs that has that vibe/melody is this song and epiphany. So this song was co-written by Coldplay. I do hope when he does his solo work that he will go to this route…he can hold a note well that band lead vocalists have.

Jin has another song about the relationship between BTS and ARMY which is called 'Moon' where he's saying the moon needs the earth that there would be no moon with the earth and the earth needs the Moon ( the moon often gets hit so the earth still gets hit sometimes but it would be far more often if the moon wasn't there) He's saying BTS would exist without ARMY and ARMY wouldn't exist without BTS. He also has like all BTS members other solo's within BTS albums.

I would love it if you would do reactions to some of The Rose's songs. They are an indie K-rock band with two incredible vocalists. I suggest Alive, Back to Me, and Sorry to start. Side note: One of their vocalists, Woosung, sang the vocal part on Agust D's song Snooze.
Love the Shins (and the Garden State) comparison, although it's Coldplay through and through. Chris and son Moses do much of the harmonies in this masterpiece.
All the members of BTS are extremely hard working with a work ethic that seems superhuman. But Jin, I feel, had to work even beyond that to keep up. He was recruited based on looks but he fought hard to show he is more than a beautiful face. And in the process he developled this hilarious persona as world wide handsome. And learned to love himself. He's my bias for those reasons and many more.
My favorites of the group are V and Jungkook. My fave solo song has been V’s song Fri(end)s. He’s a great actor too. Loved V’s acting in the IU music video Love Wins All. She has a beautiful voice if you haven’t heard her before

There is also a live performance of this song with Coldplay in Argentina. Jin flew out to join Coldplay for one night just to perform this once for ARMY before he went to the military. The day after he was released, he performed it again. It always makes me cry. 🥹

Edited to add: It’s a song about the love Jin has for ARMY. He considers ARMY his family.
The little girl represents ARMY. Jin is the astronaut. His spaceship crashed on Earth and is broken. He wanders around while waiting for it to go “home”. He befriends the little girl and she ends up making Earth feel like home. So he goes back to spaceship and then decides to stay. We see him walking away as it takes off.
Then he goes back to his house and completes the crossword. We hear the bell from the girls bicycle which makes him smile. He’s finally HOME. 😁

Yes his type of songs might reflect more of songs sang by bands…you could tell his musical influences are from there just like Coldplay, Goo Goo Dolls… for me the songs that has that vibe/melody is this song and epiphany. So this song was co-written by Coldplay. I do hope when he does his solo work that he will go to this route…he can hold a note well that band lead vocalists have.

That's the kind of magic Jin's voice holds. He can make you feel all the emotions when he sings. So pleasing to the ears AND HEART! I love him!

Jin has another song about the relationship between BTS and ARMY which is called 'Moon' where he's saying the moon needs the earth that there would be no moon with the earth and the earth needs the Moon ( the moon often gets hit so the earth still gets hit sometimes but it would be far more often if the moon wasn't there) He's saying BTS would exist without ARMY and ARMY wouldn't exist without BTS.
He also has like all BTS members other solo's within BTS albums.
Thank you for reacting to Jin's The Astronaut! I love that you love it. It's one of those songs you can listen to again and again, on repeat. I would love it if you would do reactions to some of The Rose's songs. They are an indie K-rock band with two incredible vocalists. I suggest Alive, Back to Me, and Sorry to start. Side note: One of their vocalists, Woosung, sang the vocal part on Agust D's song Snooze.

Love the Shins (and the Garden State) comparison, although it's Coldplay through and through. Chris and son Moses do much of the harmonies in this masterpiece.
All the members of BTS are extremely hard working with a work ethic that seems superhuman. But Jin, I feel, had to work even beyond that to keep up.
He was recruited based on looks but he fought hard to show he is more than a beautiful face. And in the process he developled this hilarious persona as world wide handsome. And learned to love himself.
He's my bias for those reasons and many more.

My favorites of the group are V and Jungkook. My fave solo song has been V’s song Fri(end)s. He’s a great actor too. Loved V’s acting in the IU music video Love Wins All. She has a beautiful voice if you haven’t heard her before

This song is not KPOP it was written by Coldplay and some others with Jin also credited because he rewrote some verses in Korean. It wasn’t produced by Koreans either. Not every thing a Korean sings is “ Kpop”. lol
