Iam confused why are churches asking people for money God isn't asking for money.
Hi Sherry, This is definitely a topic of a lot of people. But put briefly, Most churches are NOT mega churches. In fact most churches are less than 100 people strong, with many of these churches at less than 50 regular attendees each week. Those numbers generate an amount of income to do most of the basics (electricity, heat, rent/mortgage, and something for those who serve. Let nobody fool you - doing ministry requires funds. Also keep in mind though, that ministry provides direction, fellowship, release, and devotion all at the same time. But let me say it again, at the risk of someone thinking I'm trying to pull the "wool" over your eyes... Doing all of that does require money. Does this help?

Doing ministry can cost a lot of money. Even the basics, like providing food for the hungry, gets expensive! That's why we are always looking for ways to help churches save money, like getting a $500 credit to send mass texts.
That way churches can use their funds on more important ministry!
Paul encouraged the church at Corinth to give as God has given to them. 1 Corinthians 16:1-2. Don’t believe everything you hear, but study Scripture the answers are in there. Faith giving is commanded.
