Love the vids Al, but it seems they gave you guys a perk that the common man does not get. I have a gorgeous Lund boat like the one you guys have, and I wrote the Hawk Lake Lodge guys about a reservation based on your video here. Looks like a nice spot. I was told nobody can bring their own boat. It sure looks like you guys did ! I'd love to fish this lake, but the fact that they don't allow people to bring their boat to a place that easily is road accessible, is a deal killer. Great video Al....but this is one I cannot try.
I found this episode a little funny, all these guys going up to this place for trophy walleyes. The reservoir close to where i live has walleyes and I catch ones similar to the sizes they think are trophies but a little smaller. I have a 29.5 incher sitting on my wall from where I fish. My best night was 18 walleyes caught in a few hours with a buddy after a rain storm in 2008 and 9 of them were over 7 lbs. We kept 2, the biggest and the smallest. LOL my buddy by the way said it was like a dream and hasn't fished with me since. He said … when your catching and throwing back 8 to 10 pounders nothing else in life fishing wise will ever be the same again. And he was right, Ive never had another time quite like that since. he caught 4, 4 casts in a row. It was phenomenal. Anyways, great episode and best wishes.
