  • Hi Friends! In this lesson Danny introduces Possessive Pronouns. These pronouns are "my, our, your, his, her, its, and their". There's also an “independent” form of each of these pronouns: mine, ours, yours, his, hers, its, and theirs. Hope you learn and enjoy!

    The more languages you know the better you can associate ways a language works. I've never thought much about it but in French you'd say It's my pen, it´s mine (it belongs to me) ...C'est mon crayon C'est LE mien (C'est a moi) ! Es mi lapiz, es EL mío. But no Mío form in French.

    Thank you for another great lesson Danny! I did a lesson on Duolingo recently about this subject, and in their help section they said that the indefinite article is used a lot when doing comparisons.. for example you would say: "Tu carro es más rápido que el mío" (your car is faster than mine) rather than say "Tu carro es más rápido que mío" - would you agree with this?

    • @TheLanguageTutor

    • @Choziee
      @Choziee Před 4 lety

      Hi, I think it's simply because it easy to say cayendo rather than caiendo, I mean they sound the same but cayendo with 'i' would be 'ca-i-yendo'. Just like el agua, it's 'el' when it's supposed to be 'la' just because it's easier to pronounce or something like that. I don't really know why but I hope this helps.
