I just wanna say that I love how Penn & Teller's show allows the magicians to retain the rights to their performances, & that the youtube algo still recommends them all together.
True, I just with it was better then 720p.
Apparently they stipulated in their contracts that performers must have usage rights to their own routines. It's a classy move on P&T's part.
@@billyeveryteen7328 It's not to far fetched to assume they've been given a raw deal once or twice in their careers.
Good guys for not wanting to do it to others. The rights to your material is everything.
Makes it easy to just keep enjoying the class acts they helped promote
@@billyeveryteen7328 It's also not a typical show since they're basically dealing with trade secrets constantly.
This is one of those performances where knowing the secret just makes it all the more impressive. Incredible coordination and a wonderful performance
totally! i had to rewind for the snifter-glasses
LOL, sucked it up like a sponge. I love Penn's coded chats
I see what you did there.
Or picture you practicing...
Imma be honest, when Penn explains the trick, he really does a good job not ruining the trick.
I can often tell when he says code words but I still have no clue what he is referring to.
are you sure? because they said the precise word...
Not always, but I think he did great this time.
And still give enough information to the magician.
Sometimes. Not this time though...
The fact that he nailed getting the balls into and out of the canister while juggling 100% while making it look effortless was stellar everything else done beautifully as well.
Not a problem using magic 😂
I got to a point where I thought I was following and had it, then you suddenly revealed the wine glasses and I was shocked all over again. Genuinely incredible performance I loved everything about it, you seem like a really fun and entertaining person to be around. Excellent Work!!
I guess you weren't following all that much then. lol It was the most visible transitions.
SAME
This is a great example of a trick that doesn't get spoiled when you know how it's done.
For tricks like this one that require a high level of skill and practice to perfect, it doesn't matter if you know how it's done. You can appreciate how hard it was for the magician to perfect his craft even more when you understand the effort behind it..
The tricks that are spoiled when you know how they're done are the ones that rely heavily upon a cheap gimmick, and that don't require the same left of effort to perfect.
Often the regular viewing audience can't tell the difference between a trick that requires effort and artistry, and one that anyone could pull off if they knew the secret. It's all magic to them, but real fans of magic understand the difference.
Classic act... beautifully done... what better way to pay respect to Penn and Teller than with a combination of cups and balls and juggling...
Pay respect? Almost every magician does cups and balls and lots of people juggle. Penn juggles, but so what? Teller doesn’t.
His act was top notch but I highly doubt he did that routine because Penn juggles. He didn’t talk either. Was that paying respect to Teller? Lmao.
As a Swede I am embarrassed I didn't know about John-Henry before this. That was so smooth and lovely and some really great raising of the stakes.
Snyggt jobbat!
Han var med i talang för massor med år sen. Då hade han rött hår
Everyone watching Fool Us knows how the trick is done. But also, everyone watching Fool Us is for sure amazed by this performance. Jesus it was so enjoyable to watch
Exactly. Some of us are regular ol' plebs, but Penn and Teller dropped so many hints in their feedback you would have to be deaf to not know what they were getting at. But the magic remains: John-Henry's performance was fantastic and, one might say, "perfect".
And this guy is literaly Jesus.
@@maksphoto78 No he's not. That's not how it was done. Ehuehueh.
Nope, it boring!
Not good for even the budding illusionist. Reaching behind the table, terrible!!!!
I love that first of all he is there to entertain, not just to fool them, but show how fun and entertaining magic can be.
Of course. most of the performances are just for the viewer. Their acts are all different and unique, but of course using the same tricks that most magicians will know,
That was amazing! The only cups and balls I've seen that came even within a mile of that level of entertaining is when Penn & Teller themselves did it with transparent cups.
Did you see the guy who does it and ends by loading a Coke can
@@capnandy462 Loading big things into the cups are not really that special or entertaining in my book. This had flair and was different. I was entertained all the way.
Eh wrong
Guess it takes a lot of balls to perform this trick in front of the people who did it with transparent cups. It'd certainly take more than 3.
I don't think I've ever seen someone more suited to the "mad composer" look, but good for this guy and his sleight of hand is awesome
i was thinking santa's lost brother.
you could actually see how he was doing it with the cups and tennis balls, but then the glasses and bottle at the end got me lol
I love that the whole point of this show is to help magicians broaden their audience. The fact that Penn gave him a quote just to help him book shows and sell tickets is beautiful. And Idk if anyone else has noticed but they allow the magicians to upload the show to their own channel, which I've never seen a show that openly encourages anyone to use their footage. . Other than maybe Kill tony, but that's basically the same show expected for comedians. They are literally making a show to show case magicians, it's a beautiful thing!
I mean, the fact that he was able to sneak in the "prover" every now and then shows how amazing he is.
This performance is not really about fooling anyone, it's about amazing everyone with the perfect skill and execution and it's incredible how he keeps putting another cherry on top of cherries he already put on top. Like when you think, well, that's a great performance he adds another and another aspect to it. Flawless, lovely, amazing. I'd love to see this in person with my kids, it's just wonderful.
It may be obvious how it is done for the most part, but it is done so amazingly well and smooth. I loved the whole routine. Perhaps the best cups and balls routine I’ve ever seen.
Props for the skill involved in it all, especially juggling with the ball container
THAT was honestly one of the best performances I've ever seen.
Every single motion and gesture that John-Henry does in this just makes you smile. It's fantastic.
I generally dislike both jugglers and cup & ball routines but this guy is an exception on another level. Very entertaining - overall a wonderful act. 10/10
Cringe
@@MrEvanNoyes why..?
I love how the focus wasn't about fooling us, but to entertain us, and by God, that was one of the most entertaining things I've ever watched! Put a smile on my face the whole day, and for that, I applaud!
Awesome, awesome, awesome. You have found The Rhythm and the Flow.
Just Perfect.
That was seriously the most entertaining act on this show EVER, and crazy-impressive. I really hope we see more of this guy.
1:30 Oh please that was terrible! OOOH! 🤦♂️🤣
@@danquaylesitsspeltpotatoe8307 Agree. idk why all these people are acting like this is best act on the show. Not only is it balls and cups which everyone knows how to do, but i could see pretty much all of his moves, and it was relatively boring.
@@danquaylesitsspeltpotatoe8307
That silly little trick is the one you are focusing on?
Always fun to see how Penn tells the magicians that they know how the trick is done through key words or gestures so as to keep the audience in the dark
The music was perfect, and the act was amazing. Your performance was enthralling. Absolutely loved this
That entire performance was like a painting in motion, all the technical skill and showmanship goes miles
PERFECT! Amazing performance.
Turning your weakness (dyslexia) into your strength! That was awesome- especially the juggling using the container!
Classic! I loved watching the performance! The music, no talking, facial expressions, and the trick went together perfectly!
Amazing routine, and the juggling was absolutely outstanding! Congrats!
What a character, and brilliant act, love the dudes outfit man, even his stage setup had a magical atmosphere
I could have watched him do nothing but juggle the whole time and still walked away happy. Super fun to watch.
That was amazing. 👏 Teller is right, the best cup's and ball's ever.
He couldn't have said it any better
His body language on top of his incredible coordination is what takes this over the top for me 😂
At first I thought "A cups and balls routine, again!", but the act turned out extremely entertaining.
You fooled me!! Great performance. Very talented, thanks for the show.
Absolutely fabulous 😁😁😁😁😁
That was some amazing juggling at the beginning! I've done a lot of juggling myself, but I've never seen anyone use the tennis ball can like that. That's an amazing technique! So many wonderful juggling moves there!
Nothing but admiration and respect for skilled entertainers such as this.
So enjoyable to watch. I don't try and figure out how something is done until I get all the enjoyment from it. Then if I'm so inclined I might go for figuring out. But John-Henry, you were fantabulous to watch. Period. Thank you.
just the perfection of it alone is magical.
Brilliant performance, just amazing
That was amazing! It doesn't matter if someone tells me the secret or not, I really like this act. Magic should be entertaining, and some magicians seem to not realize that entertaining people should be the primary focus here. Whether you fooled Penn and Teller or not didn't matter, that was really really good.
Magic and Juggling. Two of my favourite acts. Well done!
UNBELIEVABLY talented!!! WOW
This guy's energy is the best
what a wonderful routine! Love it
That's was a fantastic routine! 👏 👌 🙌 😀
Wow !!!!!!!
GENIUS.. PRO... MAESTRO
Penn: I have so many good things to say!
Magician: Dammit. He wasn't fooled.
I honestly love hearing Penn give a great performance genuine praise even more than when they're fooled. Just an artist recognizing brilliance. Love it!
This is the kind of magicians I would just love to go and watch him, so talented and looks very theatrical, he didn't even need to talk to make us have our whole attention on him. Very beautiful performance!
Awesome job, John-Henry! 😊
What a beautiful routine. I could watch it again and again.
Right there with P&T... LOVED this!!! You are a special gift to this earth.... an awakened individual, fully radiating your unique enchanting spirit.
that was gorgeous
This guy is like a magical spirit
Amazing how the highly theatrical distraction gestures still work, even when the audience mostly knows what's up.
The cup and ball routine isn't a great mystery, but the execution with the juggling, substitutions, and excellent sense of rythym and tempo... Just marvelous.
Perfection indeed.
Wonderful!
John-Henry, I am SO glad this video showed up in my feed!
You're incredible.
Utterly beautiful.
I love the style of your routine. It's a classic routine, but with a modern edge. I could just as easily see you doing this routine in a vaudeville theater during the Edwardian era as I can on a modern Las Vegas stage. It's too bad you didn't fool them, but if you watch Penn's face during the juggling parts, he was genuinely impressed by your juggling routine. I would consider that high praise.
Yeah, I heard that he was Swedish from the accent. Really really really great routine. This is the type of magic that I don't care if I know how it's done because it requires so much skill to pull off. It's just a joy to watch.
Great Performance
Fantastic!
Skilled so skilled..and Penn is right when he says "tennis balls are very tricky to juggle "..I'm not a juggler but would imagine that the springyness of them would make it almost impossible to control and nigh on impossible to hold without having very long fingers
It's more that they're so light. Silicone or bounce balls are actually pretty easy to juggle, I've even juggled fireballs made of a wicked metal cage and it wasn't TOO tough. But very light things are hard to throw with any consistency. I used to do tennis ball and can (produced a DVD with a section of it about 20 years ago now), and usually you add weight to everything - you can see he's added weight via that black stripe on the can, but the tennis balls themselves are au natural, and the "other" balls would be even lighter. Very tricky to do consistently.
What makes the so hard, actually, is that they are way too light
Try a knife, or chain saw.
The difficulty with juggling tennis balls is that they're too light. They bounce out of your hand too easily. A technique I've seen and used, is to fill the tennis balls with water to make them heavier. I've also seen jugglers fill tennis balls with lead shot, to make the REALLY heavy! That makes for a set of intense work-out balls. It exercises you arm muscles as well as your juggling skills. (None of this has anything to do with the trick though, AFAIK.)
The moves he did using the tennis ball can were great! I've never seen that before.
Excuse me?
Best Cups and Balls they've ever seen is very high praise from P&T, they have a pretty damn good version themselves. Also the juggling? Bloody amazing.
its truly amazing how two magicians can speak in code and understand each other perfectly.
Absolutely amazing act
SO good! 😃
He knew going in that he wasn't going to fool them, but that didn't stop him from putting on an awesome performance :) Loved the tennis ball cup turning into a liquor bottle at the end. That was really impressive!
Yes it's just for content. They hire good magicians and artists like that to have to show something in this TV show, and they are only doing the explanation to him, because it is part of the show's concept, there was never an intend to fool them.
That was absolutely amazing
Beautiful performance.
Man I'm glad I found you on CZcams. That performance on Penn & Teller was absolutely stunning!
Congratulations, that was an amazing performance and a fabulous routine!
That performance was SPECTACULAR!
You are a master of your craft thank you for sharing your love and joy with us.
Magic or no magic, this guy is so entertaining to watch!
Sweet !
John-Henry you are one of my all time Fool Us favourites, I just love who you are and what you do.
Wonderful wonderful act. Tack! For sharing to the rest of the world
INCREDIBLE. I could watch you do that routine for hours. I never thought I’d say that about cups and balls lol
What a fun act, I loved it
When you think about it, Penn and Teller have seen almost everything under the sun. That they could just see this performance and enjoy it so much, speaks volumes in and of itself. You might not have "fooled" them, but you entertained them, and that, to me, is a priceless gift to possess.
Skol!
Proof that being entertaining isn't always about winning or losing.
really enjoyable !
I like how the Swedish guy uses what looks like the metal plant pots from ikea😅
This was so entertaining, his persona and stage presence and skill were amazing!
John-Henry is a true master of his craft. Even knowing how it is done, just adds to the performance. Beautifully done.
That is one of the best magic acts I've ever seen. John Henry is great!
The Glass Cup finale was so clever, I knew by the way he showed underneath the cups was leading to something
I've seen cup and ball tricks so many times but this one was just outstanding. And the whole routine itself really was done so well and very entertaining. You are definitely a very skilled juggler, as well as very skilled at slight of hand. I'd love to see you perform again.
I love this guy.
This guy was very entertaining. No suspension of disbelief or loss if immersion. Talented and captivating.
Wow! This was magnificent. Awe inspiring and a tremendous joy to watch.
Världsklass!
Kan inte annat än att hålla med Teller ”It’s the best Cups & Balls I’ve ever seen!”
Fantastic performance, sir! Great personality, great stage presence. So fun!
Absolutely fantastic!
"Soaked it up like a sponge." Lol. Classic cups and balls but performed impeccably. He may not have fooled them, but the the performance was magical.
So You picked up on that as well ...He did do a damn good job juggling them as light as they are ...
