thats weird rule change by the UCI because the bumping to fight for position was one of the main things that made these Kerin races even interesting ? otherwise why did they still also bother having the riders to be doing so many slow laps to build it up before the finish ?

Don't really know much about the rules of track cycling but I'd assume race safety is a priority over entertainment. Sounds like they were definitely fun to watch though!
