    It's late winter (before the quarantine days) and we start off our full-time RV adventure by road-tripping it to South Lake Tahoe! We leave Washington state for good and set up at the Tahoe Valley Campground on the California side, just minutes away from Emerald Bay and Heavenly Ski Resort. We'll show you exactly how we set up our Thor class C motorhome for this stay and how we brave the snow and cold. Get a new look at the inside after we have totally moved into our new mobile home.

    I have a feeliIng you have greatly exceeded the tow rating for that Class C RV with that truck on that heavy trailer. I sure hope you have not put yourself in a dangerous situation. Looking forward to an update! I just discovered your channel today and have watched all three videos. I know the pandemic has probably affected your plans but a video to update us as to your situation would be great. Even a short one! Good luck.

      @MoorExpeditions  Před rokem +2

      We actually had a sudden move out of the country for work. We never had any issues with the truck/trailer setup, but thinking back on it, there's a good chance we could have been over the rating. I do know most of these v10 rigs can tow 5-8k with the right hitch, but GVWR is another story. We are back in the USA and mulling the idea of getting another rig.

    • @briancayko
      @briancayko Před 3 lety +2

      Not the OP but the skirt is for helping keep the underside protected from the winter elements & cold weather. You’d also add tank heaters & hose insulation as well for cold/freezing weather use. It would also protect the tires from sun rot but it’s main purpose is temperature efficiency. God Bless

    Hi guys. I have the same coach as you guys do. Bought from Cruise America. The sidewall has separated from the flooring. I think I just need to buy bigger screws and screw it back in. I was wondering if you have had the same issue? I can see daylight and the ground through the crack between the flooring and the wall. This is NOT delamination. The whole sidewall has separated. Thanks.

    • @bridgetmurray1163
      @bridgetmurray1163 Před 3 lety +8

      I'm not OP, but was looking into living full time in one of these and am in the process of buying this same model through Cruise America now. Generally speaking they sell the coaches after 4 years and they typically have 100k - 125k miles on them when they sell. Some more, some less. They price them at a fairly consistent rate based on the mileage, no haggling.
      I purchased the 2 extended warranties on mine, powertrain and coach.
      One thing I have noticed in the 6 months since I started looking into this, *everybody's* inventories are down due to COVID-19. Before I could go on the Cruise America sales site and see multiple units for sale. Now, it's 1 or 2. BUT if you're looking to buy one call the closest CA location. The one near me said they always had units coming up for sale but they are selling them before they even get listed.
      Also, expect to wait 45-60 days after you place the order for it to be ready. CA does a pretty good refurbishment process on them from what I've seen.

  • @timhvv
    @timhvv Před 4 lety

    I think you mentioned a round board that fit over the kitchen sink. Where did you get that and what is the diameter of the sink? I am getting close to buying this same unit. It is fun to imagine how I would outfit it. Thanks for you this video and the helpful hints. Tim (U.P of Michigan)

      Hi Brein, thanks for the comment. That wasn't on purpose, but I suppose we hadn't mentioned the exact amount because they are all priced out on Cruise America's website based on condition and miles. We paid the listed price minus the promotion they were running at the time plus tax and full warranties.

    • @CompTechMike
      @CompTechMike Před 4 lety +1

      @BreinGames Před 4 lety +2

      Mike Smith yeah they are clearly listed. But that’s not what I’m asking. I wanted to know what they actually paid. I mean, no one pays sticker price right? I’m sure they negotiated a price. I’m not trying to be a jerk, but I don’t buy that he doesn’t remember what he paid. I mean, that’s one of his biggest, if not THE biggest expenditure of his life. And I’m ok with them not wanting to say what they actually paid. But it really seems like he’s toptoeing around it.
