Hi everyone! Today, we're modding a SEGA Master System II using a kit from consolesunleashed.com! This is a first time, so I made sure to record it to share my experiences! Thank you for watching!

Shipping was a nightmare in Jan and Feb. Back to normal now though. Sorry you had to wait so long.
You wanna invest in a nice set of quality drivers. You only need three. A PH1, a PH2, and a 4.5 Line Head. I never got on with those multitools. They don't fit a lot of consoles.
I use my Engineer solder sucker to get these RF boxes off. 450 heat and they pop right off. Another good investment.

My tools have served me well, but I cannot deny that individual tools serve better in a lot of ways, specifically for issues like length but also torx power. Once I will be able to, I'll invest in at the very least better kits, and then individual tools.
I definitely want to order a desoldering station once I have the money!

did this fix the jail bars ?

While it heavily reduced the perceived jail bars, I'm not sure it removed them completely. A direct injection from the RGB chip into a custom electric signal cleaner and booster (similar to the genesis triple bypass) would probably ensure that. That being said, the picture remains absolutely fantastic and it heavily depends on which display you end up using
