A close-up on the pinch-and-twist would be helpful. I can't tell what's going on with the directionality in relation to the thumb. Bow is pretty though.
Great bow. Easy to remember to twist toward you if below your thumb and away from you if it's above.That will help me a lot. Thank you for teaching this way to make a bow. I will practice a lot now. Even watching tv I will be making this bow over and over. You always do such beautiful work. I made the one with pink peonie and lamb ear with the lavender fillers. Turned out beautiful. Everybody wants it. I say just watch Julie and she will show you how to make your own. You are so gifted.Thank you for sharing that gift!

I have a lot of ribbon that just sat in a box because bows were my least favorite part of wreath making.

Julie, have you ever CHEATED?😄I LOVED this video and thought I could make this bow just like you! You made it look easy enough so I gave it a go. But, I ended up CHEATING! I used my EZ Bow maker to hold the ribbon loops because my hand hurts. And things went fine until I realized I just wasn't getting the up-down pattern right. But I had already invested so much time into this and I hated to throw it away. Here is where the cheating part comes in. I made some loops and HOT GLUED THEM IN! 😞 And I was ashamed. I thought, Julie would never do this! I will never be good at it. But I have to say it wasn't half bad for my first time and maybe once it's added to my swag no one will ever know. But you and I will know, Julie. Please just tell me you have had this happen to you cos I am about to donate all my wreath making supplies to some needy family. 🙃
It depends on the project. Yes, I've glued loops into a project to resemble a bow but that's to use very expensive ribbon. You should take our holiday bow making masterclass. It does reveal ways to fix your bow without taking it apart and we show you using hand method and bow maker method. Keep practicing, it gets easier.
