I drank milk cartons in elementary school and, instead of putting my finger where I'm supposed to drink (which would be dirty since I knew my hands weren't clean and the plastic knives and forks were my only contact with food), I figured I'd press on the sides and push it out. It's really interesting to see how other people approach the "carton problem."

See, the fact that this is an accomplishment illustrates the underlying problem. Opening a milk carton IS unnecessarily difficult. Some manufacturers here in the Netherlands have started putting screw-on lids on them, which is a huge improvement.
