GM will be better, G2 will be the superior option for humans with normal sized wallets
@@yotarohoier I think, I'm gonna wait for sigma 70-200mm and used the money for upgrade drone because my dji mini2 got crash and broke yesterday 😅

@@DrSarge37 the rumors in japan right now that sigma new 70-200mm f2.8 will be release in oktober or around the end of 2023 but idk it's just a rumors

Yep, but focal length will be equivalent 105-270
Can it use as macro lens?
It's not quite a macro but it's pretty close. It's 0.47x magnification Which is really close for a telephoto zoom. (A macro lens would typically be 1.0x magnification)
The Sony 70-200 f4 ii, is being advertised as a macro lens and it has 0.5x magnification.

Doubt images are much better than version 1. So many version 2 lenses coming now. Many pointless.
That's just plain wrong and you clearly have not made any research. Biggest improvement besides image quality, is that it has image stabilization... This alone is a reason to upgrade.
@@pn1555 Dont know what system you use, but I have no problems with my a7iv ibis. Never had a shaken photo with version 1 of this lens.
@@TomatenDK Not everyone has an a7iv with great IBIS. Also not everyone has steady hands as well. So still, releasing a G2 is not pointless per se. Besides, argument becomes more irrelevant when you want to use it for video as well.
I am using the v1 and I really like the output. That being said, build quality is really low, and the biggest problem I have is dust ingress behind the front lens. I really hope they fixed this very annoying design flaw.
