I'm also a United fan, and was at the service too. I was there because at times like these, petty football rivalries mean nothing. I went to pay my respects, and to show my support for the families.
As a United (from Manchester and with an ST for 30+ years) I was at the memorial with some friends who went and came back from Hillsborough and we and the others from clubs like City, Blackburn, Spurs, Burnley, and Everton really thought this anthem was very appropriate as it mirrors true feelings and, pardon the pun, facts. R.I.P. the 96 and long may you by the grace of God get justice. YNWA from your friends in Manchester
The pleasure is all mine. One of my best mates went to Hillsborough with his Dad and thank god they came home. I feel so dreadfully sorry for the victims, their families, friends and even those who sustained terrible injuries. My support for those effected will never cease and will always be there. There is a group of nearly 500 of us at United who will always and have always supported the cause for Justice. You don't have to ask us for it ... support will come automatically. God Bless.
this still makes me cry...I payed a visit to Hilsborough last week during my vacations..and I felt exactly the way I felt about the victim's of Olympiakos' Gate7 victims. Justice for your and our dead. YWNA . Cheers from Greece
Sometimes people don't respect the world enough. Hillsborough is a good example. Tragedy, death, horror and pain. God bless the 96 fans that lost their lives.
Oh how i wish i cud get dis!!! Never been prouder 2 b a Liverpool fan dan i have been dis wk!!! LIVERPOOL FOOTBALL CLUB..... The one and only! Gone, but never EVER forgotten!!! JFT 96 YNWA
Baboo and everyone else. My feelings came from the heart. I go to football as a fan to see TWO teams play a game of football and if my team wins its a bonus. I just ignore the idiots because they simply don't and could never understand football. I have had the luck of having a father who was pro and I have learned so much about the game.
I wondered of the same... You can download a programme called "VDownloader", and then you can save any youtube-video in any format you choose... Both .mp3, and several video-formates. And make sure to but the Fields Of Anfield Road-cd :) YNWA! JUSTICE FOR THE 96! -Bergen,Norway-
The Memories of the 96 lie in the hearts of the Fans who do not forget. Long Live Liverpool, Long Live the Kop and Long Live the Memories in our Hearts! They will NEVER walk Alone!!!
Today marks the 22nd Anniversary of the Hillsborough disaster when 96 Liverpool Fans Never came home. You were our friends, our fellow kopites, our family. You'll Never Walk Alone ...... Lest We Forget Fans Who Never Returned
If anyone wants this song, please let me know, James O'Leary (a.k.a. Lee Roy James) is my dad. If anyone would seriously like this song then message me and I will give you his email or mobile number.
JFT 96 YNWA to those who dislike this that is really disappointing we should mourn the death of those who died at football and forget our petty rivalries
I honestly don't like the song at all. An anthem should celebrate the memory of those lost, and the courage of their families, the Blue and the Red of the city united... not just describing what happened. Always On Our Mind by Matt Caffrey and Ronnie Elliott is a far better caption of everything human and honorable that came out of Hillsborough tragedy, as well as honoring the 96 and not just mentioning all that's negative. I don't mean anything bad, but I honestly think that they deserve more than just "they're gone, we're sad" lyrics (and I am talking about lyrics only, the performance and the music are great, emotional and worthy of the memory) JFT96!
