while there isn't a crossover game, there's a Japanese educational video called the Mario Kirby Masterpiece Video, released in 1993 & designed to help teach young kids kanji
sadly, the video itself doesn't feature an actual crossover, but 2 separate short stories with Mario & Kirby

@pricklyboi5748 Yea, the first of the three mega Kirby Streams had like retextured characters, and the ultimate life form WAS chat, with additional text changes to match it. Also, Elfilin was a Waddle Doo, also representing chat.
I love how recently, Failboat has just been dragging Jay into all of his chaos and watching him suffer. You love to see it.

I still love how the title screen says someone’s return to dreamland. Also this mod is hilarious and cool at the same time because of the missing animations and Mario T-posing, also the fact that Mario disappears every once in a while. And I like how the attacks are actually Mario attacks and the invincibility candy plays the super star theme from Super Mario Galaxy.

The fact that this isn’t just some model change is amazing, it’s an actual Mario move set
Offthought: Super abilities should be changed to be a wonder effect altering one of Mario's core moves, like ultra sword maybe changing mario's jump to his super jump in Rage Stage. Other ideas: Ultra hammer replaced with Metal Mario, Ultra Flare beam replaced with lightning storm wonder effect, Ultra fire summons a Charvaargh, Ultra chilly turns mario into spike ball mario.
