For some of us, it's because we're fantasizing our "Dream Wedding", others probably are wearing their new engagement ring, then there are women like me. I watch these videos and see all the hope, joy, happiness, and love on two peoples' faces. I also notice the ones who look a little awed and a tiny bit frightened, too. Marriage is all of those things and more. In September 2016, my husband and I celebrated 25 years of marriage. Let me let you in on THE secret! On your big day, take a deeeeep breath, center yourself, and stay in the moment, every moment. You're making a spiritual scrapbook. Don't get so caught up in worrying about the wedding being perfect, or the reception coming off without a hitch, that you don't stay in the moment. Each moment is precious.
All these 25 years later, I can still close my eyes and see my husband's face when he saw me up close for the first time, and my Dad putting my hand in his. I can see him when we said our vows, exchanged rings, kissed. It's all still right there. Like HDTV on demand, but with sound AND emotions! I married my best friend, my other half, and we have been through a LOT, including my being diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder that is crippling me and causes severe chronic pain. 85% of marriages that go through something like this end up divorced. I thought to myself, wow 85% of people are real schmucks! But no. The 85% are those who are injured or ill. They want to save the person they love from being stuck. My husband wouldn't let me do that, and I didn't even know I'd been trying until he called me on it. On my bad days, the ones where walking isn't on the menu for the day, I can close my eyes and see my husband's face looking down at me and smiling....we're dancing.

+Jason Marks Thank you. What people don't get is that this video was posted over two years ago. Back then, using a selfie stick was juet getting more popular. My sister (the bride) was always known for taking her selfie stick to places and it was always funny. So when she did that, it was funny to all of us, and so, it truly isn't a click bait because two years ago, it was pretty unbelievable to do that at the altar before the kiss.

We were married in our home with around 25 or so friends in attendance. She came down the hallway to the music of Johnathon Livingston Seagull. When I looked into her eyes I saw a depth of love I had never seen before; then a tear developed and that was all it took. We cried like two babies through out the ceremony. I was told later that everyone there was also crying. I lost her far to soon and shortly after her passing I had a very strong vision-she reached down and kissed me, I looked up and her eyes had that some depth of love as she had when we were married, These two times were the only times I saw her like that. Where she went must be a wonderful place and I so look forward to seeing her again. Kendel

I would just walk away. I'd leave anyone at the alter if they wanted to bring out their cellphone and selfie stick during my beautiful wedding ceremony. I already hired a videographer and photographer in this scenario, don't ruin everything with a selfie please. It's just rude. It ruins the intimacy of the moment. And when you have a following or a fan base on social media. Dude. I'd be so mad and so done with my new ex. It'd really really really feel like the person I wanted to marry only wanted to marry me to show off to their following. Like, getting married should not be about taking selfies and social media. Maybe at the reception. But certainly not during the ceremony. Dude. Nah. I'm not down for that.
