Good question, unlikely we'll ever get an answer, but good food for thought. It's why I've taken huge delight in making him an outstanding d&d inclusion for storytelling
Its pretty much confirmed he was the one that killed all the nobles, he was at snapping point, in his mind it shows that he was playing a music of anger, but when you pay attention the notes turn onto nobles when you deal the death blow on them at the end of the quest
The Jester killed them, there isnt a "we will never know"
@@DronesOverTheMoon What IS unknown is HOW the nobles die, which is what they are currently speculating.
@@JustAJosuke we have the comic for that. My speculation is it was both. Jester was playing a song the entire time they were dying. He was also laying into them with blades in hand. Simultaneously. He crippled himself for a reason. The song would have kept going otherwise. Soon more would be dancing.

I feel like we should be able to reply hero shrines for stress relief or small buffs to relationships or stat increases for the campaign, just to give us a reason to reply them, and cause of that they could add remixed solutions or other playable memories.
I am personally a dungeon and dragons player and enjoyer, and I must be honest I always look down on the bards class because you know I only took them for seduction machines. Than entered darkest dungeon one and the jester. My vision on the potential of bards in role paying games as drastically changed ever since and darkest dungeon 2 jester as only reinforced that vision of mine.
And his music was electric...
What even more impressive is that, he has to cut off one of his finger just to nerf himself because if he didn't
He might as well solo the whole darkest dungeon with just his music alone
