Best canon ending for me is Barthood. Nelson is actually successful and married Lisa. He also apologizes to Bart and tells him to count on him whenever he needs him. That whole episode is THE canon ending for me.
I also like the one episode where Bart is a bit sad about the fact that Lisa is better than him or takes too much of the spotlight, but then, finally gets over that resentment, starts a bike repair store and has a painted mural of Lisa. In that version, Nelson also ends up with Lisa.

These two really do bring out the best in each other. When they're together, Nelson is much gentler and considerate, whereas Lisa is always more laidback and spontaneous. Their tempers harmonize and balance each other out perfectly. Easily my favorite couple from this show. ❤
