    brought one last summer 95 black with the yellow flashes on the body work all untouched put a new screen on it cause the original was a little average new Michelin pilots and an oil change. sings like a bird what an engine what a bike beutifull to look at and still by today's standards very fast and sooooo much more user friendly and above all comfortable.looked after it will go forever

    had a 94 red white and blue. I had a small independent bike shop so it went down the road but I have regretted selling it since even though I'm not a sport bike guy.

    Had this exact same bike. You could cruise over 100mph like it was 50mph. Incredibly stable at speed and totally bullet proof.

    A good all round machine but lacks power compared to the 94 ZZR 1100 and GSXR 1100. What It needed to keep up was an extra 25 HP. The manufacturer claims 135 HP but it only pumps out 113 HP and with 220 kilos of weight it’s not going to get the pulse racing. I would have considered buying the CBR 1000F in the best colour scheme had it matched the power of the 1100s. In some ways the CBR is a great looking machine and especially for that year but I feel the rear end needed modernising and lacks character.

      220? Try 280 wet.
      135 engine HP ,not rwhp

      Bigboi i meant 250 kilos my typo mistake but it’s 249 dry and 273 kilo wet. on dyno it makes 113.1. bhp where as the ZZR made 139 bhp a huge difference.

      @@019208237 Who wants to race one of these old beauties? Not me it does everything I want and in comfort.
      The looks are fine how they are.
      I have 3 of them one of each model and a Blackbird, all good bikes, want a racer? buy something else.
      These are good for about 150mph and it's good enough or me.

    I have one....and if if your on the highway in high gear ...dont think you can just drop it 1 gear and punch it ...you have to drop 2 or 3 gears then punch it...if your lookin for smack in the ass acceleration....mainly do to the bike is a bit heavy and the gearing is taller than a modern sportbike...but trust me im a little faster than new 600s and can hang with new 750s ....not to bad for an old heavy bike....and faster than 100% of any car in my area....

    I need to ask... I have a 1994 model also... CBR1000FR, SC31... I have had it for two years, and was of the belief that it only had 5 gears... I am reading up on this and all sources tell me it should have 6 gears... How many gears to you have mate?

    • @nzbeeker1
      @nzbeeker1 Před 8 lety

      Thanks, no, I have 5... the thought is, that the Southern Hemisphere got what was left over and might have been assembled with a CB1000F gearbox... not sure, but have spent too much on it to have it checked just now... But would love to have the 6th for long distance cruising.
