  • The Isle of Portland is and island which is tied by Chesil Beach. This is a natural beach barrier upon which access to the Isle is available by road. Portland Stone is famous for its use in St. Paul's Cathedral as well as many other famous buildings.
Driving up to The Heights Hotel you can see an amazing view of Chesil Beach and beyond. It's also offers free parking so is an ideal place to start a hike in any direction you wish.
I chose to do a circular coastal walk all the way to Portland Bill which is the southern most point of the Dorset.

Thanks. Hope you have a great walk. It was longer than I expected and there was a spot that had eroded away, but well worth it.

Brilliant video, do you know how far your walk was? just out of curiosity? can't wait to go there later this year. Some stunning scenery, thank you for the video.

Hi and thanks for your lovely comment. The walk was a lot longer than I anticipated at 16km so would only do it in parts in the future. It certainly is a cool island with lots to see scenery wise. Hope you enjoy your visit!

    Thanks for sharing the footage.
May I suggest editing in some sounds of the waves and sea birds etc. And make the music less overbearing. Not so keen on mixing still images in with the drone footage.
Still enjoying your videos, keep it up 👍

James Edwards Thanks for the suggestion, I know what you mean, I’ll try and incorporate natural sounds at times whilst dimming the music.
