There are many historical dramas of Korea TV but this one put mark in my heart. I could still remember those beautiful and sad scenes of this drama. All roles of cast here developed well; they all had their own story that wouldn't be just shadowed by the leads, no they had their own marked in the story. The main antagonist who loved his eommoni and letting himself to follow his official's in laws for the sake of his mother. The main guard (father of Take in R88) who sacrificed himself for his colleagues. I wouldn't only remember the main leads but even the second leads they marked my heart.😢😢😢 What a fantastic series. I hope I could be able to watch this kind of series these days.

I have not cried this much for any kdrama how much I cried for this drama... It's not about the ending ,each and every scene where Daegil is sad it's really heart wrenching... Through out the series I was crying... And yes some how I predicted the ending before 7-8 episodes was pending..so in those episodes it was painful to see Jang hyuk's face in each scene...the sadness in his eyes and behind his smile.. Daegil is such a great character who understands and cares for each and everyone's sentiment..

You know what really got me, was how much each of the three slave hunters loved each other. I HAVE TO FIND THE BEGINNING OF THE SHOW. LIKE I HAVE STATED, I JUST BUMPED INTO THE SHOW ON CANADIAN TV, ON TV SCANNING IN THE CHANNELS. I SURE WISH THEY WOULD PROVIDE ENGLISH SUBTITLES ON THE INTERNET. MY IMAGINATION IS REALLY GOING CRAZY TRYING TO FIGURE OUT THE shows Conversations . They have come to the end on tv. They started another show, THE IRON KING, I don't like it already. 2020 still here. Dae Gil is one of the best written characters. It is no wonder the screenplay of this show was so praised. That made it so sad. I found the ending proper and complete. Since it was his salvation at the end.

It was one of my favorites kdrama.. the ost is also the best... their friendship is so sincere and true... and daegil's love cant explain in any word, when we look at his eyes, everything can be seen... his looking to her beloved so heart touching...

From beginning to end very heart wrenching. I cried almost non stop through this drama. Even just talking about it opened the flood gates with an endless supply of tears. One can only imagine that such a strong love exists. Beautiful acting and directing.

I already watched this drama 3 times (last time 4 years ago) and then the music started and I'm crying again... My heart hurts :( Many great characters died and poor Daegil... I hate the ending.

I watched this when I was around 9/10 now am 14 it’s so crazy because I remember everything from this drama I loved it so much even though I didn’t understand how deep and beautiful it actually was a child I forgot it again thanks to my sister after 5 years and watched it all in 2 days and this song is so meaningful and beautiful. Am so shocked still about how much I remember from this drama it was beautiful. Time flies💔

I love this movie, it captured my heart not only the heart breaking plight of two lovers but the struggle of men not to be anything less than real men no matter the odds against them . real men that don't conform to whatever their face with they just grabbed life and ran with it never letting
of their most deepest purpose to be triumph in love or the life given to them. and I love the singer Yim Jae Bum when ever or whatever he sing it always capture my heart allows me to feel the passing the love the heartbreak the man, even though I am a black American women and can't understand what he is saying in Korean I know exactly what he is saying with my heart no interpretation needed he sings from his heart and soul and I can feel it and become totally. in sync with the movie the music the meaning the man and most of all the love👄❤

Daegil just loved Un Nyun. Tae Ha actually had to learn how to love her and it only showed at the end. Daegil deserved to have her more than he did.
Perhaps at first but after the life he led as a slave hunter, his heart became too hardened, which would've made it impossible for him to be with her. Song Tae Ha, though not perfect, had a more gentle heart and a more honorable life. Thus, at the time the series takes place, Song Tae Ha is the only one who can make her happy, much as Daegil's love is tragic.

The one constant I draw from it, is humans are just people wanting to have families, live good and be loved. Whatever century, dynasty whatever we call our world each existence is the same just different names, habits, stages and good and bad in the garden of evil, and we know for this complex saga bad and evil won here...Peace to all my sisters and brothers, we are all human and have our time to live and die...
