I've watched Coco for a while and she's very lucky to have such extremely RARE parents. Most parents 'guide' their kids as to what the kids want to do--as long as it doesn't cost $$. But the Gauff's went way over that border.

Interesting, it show all the sacrifices and dedication it takes to be a champion
Success will never come without sacrifice, parents that see potential in their children and sacrifice to do whatever needed to be done to help her develop into who she is and diligent sacrifice to get to where she is. It would have been easier for mom to stay teaching and the father to stay at a job that was very lucrative but parenting is the most rewarding job. If parents would return to speaking life into your children, let them know that if you can envision it, you can achieve it. There is not enough to be said but parents take notes. You want crimes to cease, then start building your children, stop handing them the end process and start handing them the struggles that it takes to be whatever you dare to be. You have to be before you can become…To Coco’s parents, job well done and the sky is the limit for her, then when she becomes a parent, children teach your children and so on….

Phew!!! The burden of expectations on that kid! As much as I appreciate and relate to the sacrifices her parents have done, I can feel the emotional pressure on Coco to become successful. I hope Coco goes on to achieve great things, but overall hope she grows to be a respected athlete and a great human being.

Commitment, discipline, and dedication. She just won her second WTA singles title and she won doubles the first teenager since 2004(Sharapova) to win singles and doubles at the same tournament.
With the cupcake draw they gave her, just because they felt sorry for her, not be able to win anything.

Sharapova won Wimbledon, the most prestigious tennis elite event at 17 years old beating multi Grand Slam champion Serena Williams. That's the difference between Sharapova and the Williams sisters against Gauff. They are talented. Gauff can barely reach the third round of an elite event.

I LOVE her folks...and that conversation that her Mom had with her, as it relates to "if all else fails, keep running...keep swinging...keep digging", is the stuff that champions are made . keep it very simple and NEVER, EVER give up. Thats what I got from her Mom. Her Dad, is "the rock"...you can tell.
