Suleiman doesn't want to accept that Hurrem will die and tries to find a cure for her. Meanwhile, Lala Mustafa Pasha takes Selim's side and sets a trap for Bayezid. Bayezid loses his temper because of the letter he received from Lala Mustafa and wages battle against Selim. Signor Pedro offers Mihrimah to run away together. Rustem loses his all faith for Mihrimah and gets close with Signora Mendes. Suleiman and Hurrem wrestle with their consciences in Bursa where they have gone for finding a cure. While Suleiman taking the hardest test of his life in Mustafa's tomb, Hurrem asks for Mihrimah's blessing. Hurrem accepts the death and asks for a wish from Suleiman. This wish sets Suleiman's heart on fire.
At the age of 26, when he ascended to the throne, Sultan Suleiman aimed to build an empire more powerful than Alexander the Great and to render the Ottomans invincible. Throughout his 46-year reign, he became the greatest warrior and ruler of both East and West.
The young Suleiman received news of his succession to the throne during a hunting party in 1520. Unaware that he would be ruling a reign beyond his dreams, he left behind his wife son and took to the road with his close friend and companion Pargali Ibrahim to reach the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. As they started their journey overland, an Ottoman ship set sail from Crimea in the Black Sea, bringing female slaves as gifts for the Ottoman palace… On this ship was Alexandra La Rossa, the daughter of a Ukrainian Orthodox minister, taken away from her family and sold to the Crimean palace. She had no idea that she would become Hurrem, wife of Sultan Suleiman and mother of princes, ruling the empire with him through bloodshed and intrigue.
As Sultan Suleiman conquered the world, his great passion for Hurrem would clash with his love for and trust in his closest friend and advisor, Grand Vizier Pargali Ibrahim, all set against the backdrop of the tension between Christian Europe and the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century.

Suleyman, I think was the only sultan who loved one woman deeply. In the history book, he was loyal to Hurrem throughout. I guess they added some drama to the series only.
Karma this karma that, she did what she did to survive. Everyone else did 'bad things' as well, hurrem was better and she survived the battle for her family. At the end, she died in the arms of the man she loved. Only she passed with her husband still alive and loving her to the core, surrpunded by the family she fought to keep safe.

I feel bad for Hurrem in real life she did so much good for the country and the people especially sick wounded or older people and women and children she built a giant mosque with a bathhouse and medical center and school for poor people she was amazing during her time as Hasiki sultana Hurrem she was all for women and doing good in the world it was a sad time when she died the whole country mourned her for a long time

Both are good. Meryem played young and somewhat arrogant Hurrem perfectly, Perchin is great as older, more calm and mature Hurrem.

Well if it was Mahidevran it would have been the same story. Hurrem did what she had to do to survive and keep her children safe in a very merciless world. Sheer instinct for survival and Mahidevran was certainly not virtue on a mount!
