The Casbah or Kasbah of Agadir Oufella is the most majestic site in the city. It is a fortress overlooking the city and the beach. The latter was erected in 1540 by Mohammed Ech-Cheikh, a Moroccan king belonging to the Saadian dynasty. After having conquered the city, the latter built these walls in order to protect themselves from possible invasions, in particular Portuguese.
The place is ideal to admire the city from all angles as well as the sunsets!
