First look: 2024 Cupra Leon gets new looks and engines

- Cupra is giving its striking Leon hatchback and Sportstourer estate a refresh as the company continues to grow its market share and expand its portfolio of models. The fresh look aligns the Leon with newer cars from the Spanish brand - including the forthcoming Tavascan electric SUV - and creates a further distinction between it and the SEAT Leon that remains on sale.
Identifiable by the new triangular matrix LED headlights and shark-nose front end, the Cupra Leon’s good looks are sharpened even further. As with the company’s fully-electric Born hatchback, the Cupra logo now moves upwards to sit on the bonnet instead of the grille, and the lower bumper section now features a broader-looking air intake, underlining the car’s performance credentials. Those matrix LED headlights comprise three illuminated triangles within a triangular unit.
Cupra is adding two new colours to the palette called Century Bronze Matt and Enceladus Grey Matt. Those two new hues join Midnight Black, Fiord Blue, Magnetic Tech, Graphene Grey, Glacial White, Magnetic Tech Matt and Tiaga Grey as paint options. Both hatchback and estate body styles will come on either 18- or 19-inch wheels, depending on specification, and a total of nine different wheel styles are available. Design enhancements to the car’s rear include new light units that repeat the triangular styling of the front headlights. The Cupra logo on the rear is now illuminated as well.

I'm Italian and I've always liked Cupras, they have a very Latin sports design, just the way we like them!

Hope they’ve fixed the reversing camera issue with the Leon, where the camera lense falls off when the adhesive fails 🙄
Yeah... Still need to order a new one for mine.
If you need one, don't get one from the dealer (~700€), it is the same camera that is used in many Seats, Wolksvagens etc so you can find it for 100-150€

Nice upgrade. And it has the real bucket seats that that only the exclusive RS3 performance have , not bad 😊
I'd be hesitant whether these actually make it to a UK spec, they have similar at the moment available as a continental upgrade (only Spain from what I could see). Would be buzzing if they roll this out to all markets.
Same with the Brembos, also available elsewhere in Europe but omitted from UK spec. Fingers crossed, braking performance in my VZ2 e-HYBRID is good but could be improved, these will be a much valued upgrade.

A good tour around thanks'.. it's a good looking car,.. which should have the 'all drive' maximum bhp ..there is always a market for ''the fast one''.. I didn't want an estate style so needed to go for the 'Formentor VZ3.,.

hate that slider control of the heating, it doesn't work if you have gloves or nerve damage (like me ) in finger tips, give us knobs and physical buttons vw group , and what's with the seats, a 20 year old polo had better seat fabric, and dark roof lining, its so claustrophobic, I hate it

Great looking car, ridiculous slider buttons and touchscreen for climate controls. Terrible to use and dangerous while trying to simply adjust the temperature in your car or fan speed.
Damn..... I don't want to go back.to VAG cars.... Because the are unreliable af..... But this is a sexy MF.

When the Leon was a SEAT, the Cupra stood out as the halo model, now the 'cupra' is just Leon, with 1.5 engine or a hybrid. VW has just ruined the SEAT brand, cus they never liked that even the base models made the Golf look dull. RIP SEAT, I won't be buying a Cupra

Seems like an intentional move, Cupra even says that it knows many people won't like how its cars look.
That’s the whole point of Cupra more aggressive than Seat. Their separate brands now in the VWAG
