"That guy" who buzzed last is famous Russian billionaire composer Igor Krutoy who collaborates with Dimash, and often accompanies on piano (ie: Love Is Like A Dream, Mademoiselle Hyde, ++) He composed Ogni Pietra specifically for Dimash. He was waiting so as not to disturb Diana's performance. After hearing her sing Rechenka the year before when she was 14, he was so impressed that he bought an apartment in Moscow for her family in order that she might study music at university.
BTW(!) I completely agree w Sean about auto-correct; drives me insane. Even with these posts I have learned to go back and proof-read as words are changed to something nonsensical and often go unnoticed.

No delay, no effects, nothing but her. Igor Kurtoy refused to interrupt her to hit his button. He is a titan of Russian pop music. You need to understand her story. Abused by her birth mother, left abandoned with a fractured clavicle and no ability to speak in a train station in winter at under age 5, she was brought to an orphanage, and later adopted by one of the people who worked there. Her rendition of Rechenka at age 14 is mind-blowing, since she is a natural contralto- with the ability to sing multiphonic and polyphonic, to yodel, glissando and use vibrato and move even to falsetto- range is like from d flat 3 to b flat 5. Truth is, you've never heard this kind of voice in your life, because it does not exist outside of her. She is unique, likely the youngest contralto on the planet (when she was 14). Igor came out of retirement just to work with Dimash and has even written songs for him. One of the most successful composers ever (supposedly worth Billions).

Diana’s story is a bit of like Cinderella’s :) They say she was abused in her toddler years and was found on the streets of Russia with a broken arm and sent to an orphanage. A worker at the orphanage fell in love with her and adopted her. She had a speech problem, so her new mom sent her to voice/singing lessons at a very young age to help her.
"You are Super!" is a Russian international television music project of the NTV TV channel, in which children left without parental care take part. According to the rules, only live sound. The fourth judge is familiar with Diana from previous performances and waited for a pause so as not to interfere with the performance.
Diana was 15 years old here , she is Russian speaks Russian , she also sings English , French , Spanish and Arabic , she was born May 31st 2003 .

The judge who was slow to push his button was Igor Krutoi, a very famous songwriter, composer and music producer in Russia. He was already familiar with Diana from her first appearances on the show during the previous (2018) season, and quickly became one of her strongest admirers and supporters. Why then did he hesitate so long in pushing his button during this song? He said in an interview later that he was waiting for a pause in her performance because he did not want to distract her or “throw her off” while she was singing. Igor Krutoi is an incredible talent - a “musical genius” in his own right - and he has done wonderful things to help Diana’s development as a rising star over the past few years. I always laugh when I hear or read comments criticizing him for being ‘slow’ to recognize Diana’s rare talent, when the truth is the exact opposite!

Diana has something primal, mystical, but also sensitive and sensual in her voice and she lives her songs. Diana is a dramatic contralto, the rarest contralto type. Dimash is the universe, but Diana is the earth, our home... and when you hear her voice you feel like she has wrapped you in a warm velvet blanket and served you a mug of hot, dark chocolate. Every song is a unique experience, it captivates you, you feel bound by magic.
Diana was born in May 2003 in Arseniev in the Far East of Russia. She didn't have a happy start in life. The woman who gave birth to her had 12 pregnancies, only Diana survived ... and she did not love her child, abused her cruelly and tried to I drowned. Relatives found the child with a broken collarbone on the street and shortly afterwards took the 3-year-old girl to an orphanage. Finally there she found love ... from Irina Ponik. Taking a little child into the family was not easy for Irina. Her son was already 20 years old, the daughter 17 years old ... Start all over now? Yes!!! Diana came to a poor but loving family when she was 5 years old.
Diana spoke badly, cried a lot and was still very scared but she all sing songs from cartoons. And so, the singing teacher Elena Kazantseva discovered Diana's talent. And all started ...
During 2008 to 2012 Diana sang around 40 songs, including at competitions.
Diana's mother became her daughter's manager. Everything that has to do with Diana's singing training, performances, competitions, looking for sponsors is organized and coordinated by her mother Irina Ponik. She took extra sewing courses too. Since then, she's been sewing all of Diana's stage costumes, because all of these things consume the family budget. She accompanies her daughter on trips and captures her life in photos and videos with the persistence of a visionary.
After winning a competition in Moscow, Diana's mother was offered to leave the girl in a boarding school for gifted children. She refused and in 2012 her family moved to her hometown of Toglyatti, much closer to Moscow. Diana lost her fear that the woman who gave birth to her would kidnap her.
Diana's voice, her perfect pitch and her sense of rhythm were extraordinary even as a little girl and so she impressed with her talent in over 50 national and international competitions. Her confidence grew, her voice continued to develop ... until one day she was asked to compete in more distant competitions so that other children could have a chance to win.
In 2017 she went to Moscow, at the Russian 'The Voice Kids'. Diana sang 'Yodel-Time' czcams.com/video/vKdvaWsd91Q/video.html but none of the judges turned around but the whole audience gave 'standing ovation'. What happened? Next day, a huge scandal broke out in social medias. People demanded for Diana's participation in the competition.
A door had closed but a new door opened:
In 2018/19, Moscow hosted the 3rd season of a unique international competition instead of "You are Super", especially for adopted and orphaned children. The winner of the season (Diana) will be determined by a 6-day public vote and the final took place in the Kremlin Palace and her videos were uploaded to CZcams and soon she had millions of fans.
Diana won also a scholarship to the College of Music. Igor Krutoy gifted her a small apartment in Moscow. So, she could start her vocal training with the best teachers such as Professor Olga Donskoy (She died of Covid-19 in October 2020).
The break of voice made Diana’s voice even darker and deeper. She has mastered this time very professionally and has worked hard to bring back the lost high notes and has expanded her vocal range, currently from C3 to D6. Her genres are folk-rock, folk-pop, jazz, soul, blues, soldier songs and Diana-stile… tradition meets modernity.
She loves to sing in French, but also sings in English, German, Arabic and Spanish... but only phonetically.
But she is not only a great singer and storyteller, but also a humble, intelligent and hardworking young woman. She also gives charity concerts. She loves her family and her fans. They are 'friends' to her and they are very supportive of her. Diana is grateful that they helped improve her home studio and also supported her future plans. Her Russian Friends have chosen Diana as "National Treasure" (no official title).
2020 Diana graduated from high school with honors and now, she is a student at the Russian Institute of Theater Arts (similar to Juilliard). She is already composing songs and we will definitely hear her own song soon.
She will only take part in major competitions if invited. Such competitions require a lot of time, effort and strength. As a result, participants often have large educational gaps and problems later on. Diana is a smart young woman. She focuses on her studies, her voice and expanding her repertoire.

Here are three reasons why Diana doesn't sound human.
First, she is a dramatic contralto, which is the absolute rarest type of female voice. It allows her to sing very dramatic/powerful, very (I mean VERY) deep, very dark, very rich.
Second, she has a spectacular larynx. It is a gift from God, and others have called it the Eighth Wonder of the World.
Third, she is polyphonic, which means she can produce multiple harmonics within her voice at the same time. This is what allows her to sound like two people at once. (more below)
When you add all that up you basically get a person who creates her own auto-tune. She doesn't need electronic auto-tune. She IS her own auto-tune.
And the effect when you hear her is totally mind-blowing. It's like she's singing right through you, like a sword straight into your soul. Literally NOBODY else on the planet has a voice like hers. She's not one in a million, she's one in seven billion.

@@Jfre2 LOL, you're right! My first shrine was to Jimi Hendrix when I was a kid. I've built many shrines over the years, most recently to Loreena McKennitt. But now Diana Ankudinova is very shrine-worthy to me. My shrine to Loreena lasted 15 years. As far as I can tell, Diana is the total package right now and she is getting better every day! With the exception of Jimi, I've never witnessed anybody more shrine-worthy than Diana. So, yeah, you're spot on.

Dianas shrine are the goosebumps I get every time, but at newer productions I'm missing the extreme manipulation of her larynx she has shown on this show. It's this effect I can't get tired of. So the more I fear she's losing it.
@@wonderfalg Diana hasn't lost anything. These days she is working very hard on different aspects of her voice, especially her upper register. Also, the voice coach she's had all her life died recently. Diana wrote the song Happiness in memory of her dead vocal coach. Also, she's still only 17. It will take another 10 years or so for her voice to fully develop. She's enrolled at university now and is training her voice every day. And she is a HARD WORKER. There aren't many people who work as hard as Diana. (more below)
And I agree with you that songs like Havana don't hit you like a truck the way a song like Human does. I promise you that she can still sing the way that gives you (and most everybody else) goosebumps. But she is learning and growing and training her voice every day. She definitely has a plan and there's no doubt in my mind that she and her teachers know what they're doing.

"She finally convinced that guy" is the one and only Igor Krutoy, a famous Russian composer that came out of retirement to work with Dimash and they have several collaborations. One being "Ogni Pietra" that Igor composed just for Dimash's voice.

Diana is 15 years old here. I started watching your channel originally because of Dimash. You know, Dimash is a fan of Diana's. He recommended listening to her to his fans a while back. Rechenka is some brilliant neo-tribal Russian folk fusion. She sings in multiple languages like French, English, Russian, Spanish and Arabic. Igor Krutoy was the last guy to hit his buzzer. He later stated he was waiting for a break so he wouldn't interrupt her song. Igor wrote Ogni Pietra and works with Dimash. You've probably seen him on the piano in some songs.

The late button pusher was composer/pianist Igor Krutoy who writes for Dimash and Lara Fabian. I think he's likely holding back so he didn't interrupt her singing with a big boom, not to be snooty.

YESSSS! I Put A Spell On You! From winning Norway's Got Talent at 7yrs old to AGT at 13/14 yrs old, Angelina puts a spell on everyone.
The orchestra did not take part in this show, instead, pre-recorded music was used. But all the contestants sang live. Diana always sings live (there are many such videos on her CZcams channel). She has a rare contralto voice and has an amazing command of various vocal techniques. This is a unique young singer. Such voices and artistry are rare. She was able to overcome the consequences of a terrible childhood and she is a kind, positive person.
They should listen to her Rechen’ka acapella to convince his doubts.
Diana has grown on me. Very different and incredibly talented. Igor Krutoy didn’t want to distract Diana during the performance. She was (I’m pretty sure) 15 at the time of this competition. For something really impressive, Rechenka is pretty amazing (doesn’t take away from my love of Dimash, but she is impressive!). :)

She entered her first kids contest in Russia where she sang a song that required masterful yodeling.

I don't think that any effect was added, exactly. The presenter always brags about the great sound of the hall. My guess is that they have ambiance microphones; to capture the hall sound.

It is based on a Russian folksong about a young betrothed orphan girl who goes to the river, the boundary between the living and the dead, to ask her mother's blessing for her marriage.

Ironically, Diana herself was an orphan who was abused and abandoned by her alcoholic mother. Because of this beginning her speech was very undeveloped and she was given singing lessons to help improve her speech. Her talents was quickly recognized and the rest is history.
