Watch the process video in creating a mixed media canvas. Using Attic Design chipboard. Products used in creating this project:
~Chipboard: Dusty Attic: Jumbo Cogs, Wings, Wrought Iron Trim Set, Cogs 1, Zippers, Chains 4pc, Decorative Keyholes 8pk, Vintage Keys, Keys & Locks, Nuts & Bolts.
~ 5x7 Canvas
~ Stencils: Crafters Workshop (Art Is, Time Traveler), Prima (Sunrise/ Sunset, checkers), Tim Holtz (Measured).
~ Drywall tape (found at local hardware store)
~ Gesso
~ Heart (Martha Stewart Air dry clay ....use tip of a pen to make circle etches in the clay).
~ Paints & Inks: Dusty Attic Paint (Raisin, Cranberry...on heart), Tattered Angels (almost Black), Lindy's (Buccaneers Bay Blue, Tainted Love Teal), Prima (Gold Foil, Vintage Gold), Tim Holtz (Vintage Photo Distress Ink), Scribbles 3D paint (Golden Brown), Pearlex mica powder (gold).

Like many mums, my days are busy. In the last year they have become busier as I care for my aging parents. It is so draining to watch my beautiful mother's physical and mental health decline as she suffers intractable pain. Sometimes at night though I sit up and watch your tutorials. They are like a breath of fresh air and give me some time to escape into a creative world (time for myself). Thank you for sharing your talent. I look forward to whatever you are creating next.

Hi Gabrielle... I happened upon your tutorial while looking for a coupon for Michaels one day. I must say you are a true atrist. I am 54 years old and have always loved making things, but when I saw your work it really got my creative brain working again I thank you for that. Im making a steampunk canvas for my sons birthday....

There are so many layers and objects that you have used, and at one point when you had painted with the Gesso, I never would have thought anything would have come to life and appear to clearly! I can only imagine what you would do executing the Major Arcana of the Tarot in mixed media. esp. cards such as the Star, Moon Sun etc.
Wow, where to begin? Gabrielle, as soon as I saw you had posted this video all my plans came to a halt!! Watching you is like watching magic happen, truly! Your bg is perfect, precise & totally cool. You always use amazing colours (& my favourite combos). The altered chipboard pieces look stunning & how clever with the metallic liquid on key & key hole? Then began the assembling.... Oh My! Again, placement is brilliant & actually the central part made me think of a fabulous steampunk necklace? Hope that makes sense...
