How did you flatten the teeth on the helping hand?
I've found another and funny way to attach the figure to an Helping Hand ball joint. I use Balloon Straws. Sounds stupid I know but it really works. It takes some work but when your figure won't be holding to the Straw loose but solid, you can use it then.
@@transformandgobricks7820 doesn't sound stupid at all. whatever works man
@@TheLazyEyebrow Oh, okay, thanks.
Man I need the schematics for the entire rig it’s self with the only difference being multicolor leds

Facts
I normally couldn’t care less about stop motion, but the way you talk about it is so interesting!
I always get motivated to do one when I watch Someone else's (the Story based ones)
I’m going to do this ........ when I get a green screen lol
@@joaoandlucas5867 yeh while people like Lozaus make great ones, the ones with story are much more enjoyable for me at leats
@@joaoandlucas5867 yeah, same

I REALLY love these tutorials!!
Still need a tripod...
You forgot the even more low budget version just hold them off camera lol
That would've been great to cover. I have dabbled in that quite a few times
So, so, soooooooo true. I do that as much as possible.
Additional note: Rigging is difficult to edit around when your shot requires subjects to change focus, or you're doing dynamic camera shots. I do rigging with my animations and it's fairly obvious in most circumstances, half because I'm a lazy editor and half because I don't really care. One type of animation that this works out really well for is in outer space environments with a black backdrop, especially if you have black display bases for rigging with.
This is something I've been wanting to know about for years, especially the stop-motion flying, even from the old Ray Harryhousen movies.
Here I thought you just threw them for flying animation.
Also, we need cat-formorer combiners!
Green screen also has its uses for one-man army building or scaling down big boys with small bots and vice versa.
I still remembered watching your 1st tutorial with the cheating transformation, time flew !
Thanks, your reviews and tutorials are awesome, you are awesome !
Me, who owns a Tripod and will never do this: Interesting.
As soon as i read the title i was like HELL YES
Ray Harryhausen is very proud of you. Keep up the great work.
Oh wow... The soundtrack from the Toy Story 2 video game. Right in the nostalgia! lol
i'm glad someone recognized it haha
that shockwave transformation is so good
That Soundwave transformation is SOOooo good!
I see why he is called the lazy eye brow great thing I just figured out :D
Your doing STRONG Eyebrow.
They also make a matte screen and matte green screen paint for green screen effects. Both dont reflect nearly the amount of white light that makes the figs light up green. Its all about what you choose to use as a green screen. Also the most powerful tool for green screen is Adobe Premiere. Its super forgiving. You can also save a ton of time by masking your rig in a video editing software and doing it frame by frame in said software. I love the rig you built! Great idea with the printed pieces
Interesting. I'm going to have to investigate this
Thank you so much! I've been waiting for this for AGES! :D
This is better and more usefull than my socioemotional class
LOVE this series! Keep up the good work Mr. Eyebrow
Thank You very much. This helps me a lot!. I can't wait to get to practicing this. From the looks of it though I feel like the rig system will be the easiest for me to work with. Less things to edit out in the end ya know.
Again thank you so much for making this series of tutorials!
That's the ticket
Wow, fantastic tutorial, I will definitely be referring to it at some stage on the future. I have a wicked idea for a Godzilla stop motion I really want to do, I just need the free space... and time! Thanks mate!
This guy makes it looks so easy
The ironically name Professor Lazy Eyebrow who teach us great skill. My videos for now on will link your channel so kids can adults can learn how to do this stuff
These tutorials are very helpful since I have a transformers show in the works
Neat! I'm not an animator but it's interesting to learn regardless
4:18 imagine doing that but your stop motion have 23 FPS (pure torture)
Thanks these tutorials are always entertaining and super useful
So interesting! Thanks for this!
Awesome stuff here, thanks a lot!
Omg thank you soooo much for this one. I think I have an idea for an experiment to try this out. I can’t wait. Again thank you. I don’t have the computer software as I do everything on my phone but the clean shot and erase the cable I will definitely try as I use that stopmo app
Hot damn that is a properly impressive crane rig you got there! I might have to think about setting something like that up for my own stuff! Personally I've found that the Bandai Tamashii clear plastic figure stands are excellent for airborne shots as they work with 5 and 3mm ports as well as the claw grip, the arms have excellent articulation and because they are transparent they often don't need painting over for chroma key. Only think I need to be careful of is gravity and wobbling, so I give the figure a few seconds to settle in frame and weigh down the stand with something hefty if the centre of gravity is off.
When I chroma key I shoot purely on green/blue screen, so any (pardon the pun) glaring reflection issues I solve either in post with colour correction or by using white paper which reflects light into the affected areas. Since most of my shots tend to be above-waist height to disguise walking movement I don't often have to worry about editing it out. A friend of mine has used tin foil which is potentially an even better solution.
Side note, but I found your previous walking tutorial immensely helpful for my current project 'Target Alpha Trion', so thank you! It helps that Siege Optimus Prime has excellent weight distribution too.
Siege and Earthrise Prime have incredible weight balance that way. The heels also help tremendously
These videos are so helpful for improving my Stop Motion Thanks
Great video!
Just wanted to say thanks for making these videos. They're really informative. Your rig set up is nice. I might give stop motion a try. I've only done still photos so far and I can see that rig being extra handy for some dynamic action poses.
Thanks this is going to be very useful
Man I need to get one of these
Damn, I’d do a lot of this stuff if I had a computer that could run any editing software
Nothing's gonna stop TLE from making great stop-motions
Just like your others this is very helpful
And just like the others i will be too lazy to follow any of these steps
I’m totally going to try to replicate the rig!
This is too much for me..you are truly expert 👍
Thx for this!!!!!!! It helped so much
IF there is a gigawatt review, I can’t wait
Eventually
I just upgraded my app and now I too can edit and erase out rigs. Despite my crappy quality, it’s still one of the funnest things to tweak, until the figure gets too heavy to hold a pose and the stand’s joints collapse and I give up
Thanks this helped
Based on my experience with digibashing, which (the way I do it at least) involves a lot of layer blending, I have one suggestion to those interested in rotoscoping: consider using layer masks. Not only does this provide something of a safety net, since you can easily correct for any overerasing, but it also allows you to soften the edges and make different elements look less obviously out of place.
Wow!
Thanks : )
Three different videos of yours in a row, all of them with Thomas The Tank Engine ads prior to start.
Odd....
These rock
FINALLY!!!!
Rig is the best
Thankyou
Ok do a vid trying this if I can thanks this will be great on my show
The Green color used for keying isn't arbitrary. RGB color has a significantly more information in the green than the other colors.
Interesting. Why is that? I figured there would be equal amounts of value across 1-256
Ppppppppppppt!!!!
Too much work. All you need is a ceiling fan and some string. And hey, the more string the bigger the flight path!😊
Rotoscope thug life.
Bro got Toy Story 2 PS1 game soundtrack!
Eeeeyyyy good catch
Since you STARTED EP 1 I STARTED START MOTION PROBLEM IS LIGHTS HAHA STILL I WANT TO LEARN MORE
-How long have you been building your own rig setup for Stop Motions?
-Is there a way to buy one like that?
-Where did you buy all the materials you needed?
I built this one since 2019
Not that i know of
Most came from home depot if it wasn't 3d printed
@@TheLazyEyebrow Aa, okay, thanks. I asked cause I may build also such rig setup too for my Tutorials.
@@TheLazyEyebrow Was it hard to build this Setup?
@@transformandgobricks7820 not really, but i also had the proper tools to cut the tubing, building skills from my construction job, and self taught design skills for the 3D printed parts

Witch app you use for stop motion I use stop motion studio
I have Stop motion studio pro on my Phone (Android) and when I use Green Screen on some of my figures like Earthrise Starscream than it covered even him in every background.
Non ho capito molto ma ,c'è tanto lavoro 😲
What would be the best way to sand down the claws on the helping hands?
Just bend em in on themselves with a pair of pliers
How long have you've been Rotoscoping Thrust?
This doesn’t have much to do with the video but do you know those clear long stands that people use to make their figures jump and fly in their stop motions? I can’t find them anywhere and if you or anyone knows the name that would help a lot.
So I have a green screen, but it’s on a wall in my room maybe 3 feet away from the actual table I’m going to animate on. Would you say that’s enough distance to not cause problems with keying?
Very very nice
Thank you
Thank you for all the explanations and tips Is there a site to buy Transformers games? I loved them.. I hope their price is cheap and appropriate
What fps do you use? Please tell me so I can practice your method also how do you make wheels spin on smooth surfaces

Is it possible to just take the rig out ad a separate layer and delete that layer would it save more time than erasing it every frame?
Hey lazy eyebrow, thx for the tutorials, but can you tell me the keyframes for running part? Is it as similar as walking just with more steps or no?
very similar. you're basically just adding another one where the character is airborne between steps
@@TheLazyEyebrow ah thx
Green is the color seen least in nature, eh? What color are plants then?
Why does Windcharger have a Part of six gun in battletrap review
What program do you use to edit your stop motion i use stop motion studio pro but doesnt have a more useful eraser nor a painting over tool and ive also got a samsung book 2 laptop device but never used for anything beside school work what would you recommend ?

How do you flatten the teeth on the helping hand because some of my figures have slightly gotten damaged and I need to fix that before i keep using the helping hand

@@TheLazyEyebrowthanks so much! Now my figures won't get damged
what is the software for the final method
Hey Lazy Eyebrow! I tried making my own ad-bumper recreations with that rotoscoping method, and I was hoping you would check them out. They're not as good as yours, but I still think they're alright. There's only three, and two of them are directly based on ones from the original show. The third one was made completely from scratch with "Optimus and his son" ("Optimus and his son" is my most popular video at somewhere around 3M views so they're a re-occurring part of my channel). The main reason why I'm asking you to check them out is to be as critical as you can with them. I'm assuming it'll be weird for a nice guy like you nitpicking every aspect of someone else's work, but I want to know any flaw with them that you see so that I can avoid those flaws in the future. And since you know what it's like making them, I think you would have an especially good eye for finding what's wrong with them. Though, I know you're helping your wife with her workload right now, so it's completely understandable if you don't have the time.
If you do have some time, then here's a playlist of the recreations!

Meowasor!
What software do you use on your your computer?
Ik this is probably a seriously stupid question but what is/where do u buy the black big paper coating u have behind the green screen
actually it's not paper, it's.......................i completely forget. it's a thin sheet of plastic that's been spray painted matte black. I want to say HDPE, but I think that's wrong. it only comes in white
@@TheLazyEyebrow ohh ok thank u, where do I buy it do u know? Do I find it in a specific store or just on amazon online ? I wanna get one so my backgrounds aren't always so cluttered
@@jollyprimusproductions8776 I got it from a sign shop. explained what I wanted (you want the really thin stuff) comes in a 4'x8' sheet and it's like 40 bucks (looked it up, it's polystyrene and the guy said it was 30 mil. what mil is idk, but that's what it came to be)
@@TheLazyEyebrow omg thank u sm!
Now transformation
Wait, bright green is used because it’s the least common color found in nature? I see bright green when I walk outside. Why not use purple?
Can you do a green screen episode?
This black background on your Setup, what is it? Is this a big black paper or something else?
it's a very thin sheet of polystyrene spray painted in ultra matte camo black
