Kirk Sutphin, Double Decker String Band

Kirk Sutphin is a great old-time fiddler who started very young and mastered the fiddle style of Surry County, NC legend Tommy Jarrell. In this clip from 1984, David and Kirk team up for "Sally Ann." Then David introduces the Double Decker String Band, who play "Old Aunt Betsy," a song first recorded by Frank Blevins & His Tar Heel Rattlers in the 1920s.
