Injuries suck BUT it makes origin interesting knowing new players are coming in. You don’t what’s going to happen and gives new players opportunity to step up to that next level. Exciting times.

    Yes
I agree that, as a PNG citizen, we are not ready for a professional team.
Obviously, there are many things to consider.
However, it was the Australian governments interest to offer us an opportunity to try an NRL team.
We PNG never asked to have a team.
As for the $ 600 million, PNG never asked for financial assistance. This information about the $600 million is not confirmed according to the PNG government.
PNG PM claimed that we want to follow the protocal of the NRL Bid & be competitive.
According to PNG PM, we dont expect the Australian government & the people to assist financially.
In terms of security, if BID is successful, people love & respect NRL players.
They will be well respected & as they live longer, people will protect them. There is no need for security.
    Their thoughts will change.
    Please understand the issue.
    Thanks 😊 🇵🇬

I worked and lived in Madang for a year when I was around a footballers age. You are a Island on a Island. I was lucky to be accepted by all that I meet, but not all Expats have treated the locals well. Incidents can easily flare up into full blown riots. It's basic warfare with machet, bows n arrows. Medical treatment is scarce and your not going to be eating Macas anytime soon. Think Glam Camping in a Jungle. I loved it, but it's not Byron Bay or Cairns. For a football player at the back end, it would be all about the Kina. $$$

If the govt has $600m to invest in RL, spend it in the USA. PNG is a 3rd world country. Having an NRL team in PNG isn't gonna change China's foreign policy. Plus there's a federal election next year so how solid is the money if Albo loses?

The PNG expansion is disgustting. $600m going into rugby league when we have a nationwide housing and cost of living crisis.
