Before watching this video, I had no idea about this company named "Nintendo".
Thank you so much for introducing me to this relatively unknown small company, but I still think your games are better. :)

Only a millennial, a terrorist, or a gamerboy (or some combination) wouldn't think to self-censor a thought like that.
Okay, so, hear me out:
-Feudal Japanese Samurai Swordfighting with real blood (the first person to touch the other’s sword with anything but their own sword will die, complete with death animations, ragdoll physics, dismemberment, etc.)
-Jetski drive-by (either PvP or one controlling the jet ski and the other controlling the gun, maybe 2v2)
-SAW trap archery (live, human targets, again with death animations and ragdoll physics, ending in 2 or more players fighting each other for survival, complete with gun extension)
-WW1 Bomber Biplane

The Portal Demake is like totally custom assets though... its annoying how Valve can tell them to take down their game after they worked so hard to port it.
that's not how copyright works lol. Even if it's not literally copying official assets, if it looks the same it's still subject to copyright. Valve looked into the possibility of officially licensing Portal 64 but they couldn't because it uses code that Nintendo has the copyright to.

If I make a 1:1 of someone's avatar they originally spent 1400 dollars commissioning, which is there intellectual property, and then proceed to sell it, I can do that; the only problem would be the hit to reputation as it is a scummy thing to do. Try all you want, but if I put in the effort, it would be my work, and there is little you can do.
The thing you likely meant to say, is that it wouldn't pass the squint test, as thats typically the method for determining if something is too similar. I get your point, but none the less. Just responding on account of your telling me "how stuff works", when you yourself do not know how ridiculous it actually is; its the reason mods and models that use ripped assets can be taken down, as they are ripped, such as the mount and blade Elder Scrolls mod which used ripped Skyrim models for the items and such.
@@Suzuki_HiakuraI don’t think that’s correct? If you transcribe by hand (not tracing) a book, you can’t then sell that copy you made, I’m pretty sure? Even if you rephrase many of the paragraphs.
Being inspired by something is one thing, but, copying is another?
@@drdca8263 So your telling me your going to transcribe by hand an entire book, which will take you a few weeks to ensure proper formatting and spelling, and be sued to stop spending weeks per single book copy by some large company? Do you really think a jury is going to enjoy their time being wasted over something so insignificant? Truthfully, have you even thought of what you wrote in your reply?
I and others have done this before with books and game guides, and you know HOW MANY have had a problem with that? Zero. Not a single voice had an issue with it, let alone some company that has better things to do than go after someone spending weeks copying their books and such.
Valve had to because of the proprietary library the developer was using to make the demake.

I love to see the work that you're doing with the Wii U here. I love the Wii, and the Wii U is an amazing sequel that got squandered by Nintendo. It's great to see more love for it!
You may be interested in the Silver Falls game series that's made by Sungrand Studios. That's one guy that made 7 different Wii U and 3DS games in the year leading up to the eShop closure. It seems like getting Unity to work on the Wii U was difficult, but that man got a Unity game running on the original 2011 3DS. I don't want to think about how much work that was. I love seeing people like you and him put so much passion into consoles that people just move on from and forget about over time!

if i had to criticize the game so far, it's the lack of miis. in a wii sports parody game.
but other than that, assuming that the main 4 minigames are made, why not twist the games around?
-basketball: turn it into a game of grenades. the second mode should be something like a worms-like game, where the objective is to kill off of your opponents first before the enemy can.
-cycling: just add more violence. if i had to introduce the element of violence, it's just shaking the wii remote or nunchuck like you're actively attacking the cyclists by a grand ol' hook punch. bonus points if you can incorporate some drive-by weapons and call the extra mode "Gangsta Cycling", or even a rag-doll system whenever you get knocked out.
This is legit still better than Nintendo Switch Sports…

dude i wish that there was someone as cool as you who liked some of the games that i really wish got a sequel like this one on the ds called fossil fighters it had 3 games in the series the first 2 were sooo cool then the 3rd sucked sadly that one was on the 3ds so it had even more potential but it was lame
I think you should make all of the motion controls incorporate pointer data as a form of auto-calibration (and increased precision), because the Wii Motion Plus tends to drift.
8:05 there was the Google Street View and 360 video applications which you used the gamepad to looked around

@@thedevatlas the Google Street View app isn't useable anymore due to it being shut down a while ago, but the 360 videos work and some people have found out how to change the videos to other 360 videos

For the mii's, couldn't you just use the miis currently on whatever system like the actual Wii games do? Then it's not stealing, it's just using a feature of the wii.

this video inspired me to try and make Wii U games aswell. but for some reason i cant find the unity SDK ANYWHERE on the developer portal? it just says "for more information go to the unity website", in which i am still lost. i cant find anything on google about this and genuinely dont know how to do this.
Good point I had to get mine from the Internet archive, it should be found by searching internet archive unity Wii U SDK
@@thedevatlas i thought that was just the version of unity needed? in your video, you used that unity version from the archive, but then had to get the exporter from the developer portal. do i just not need the portal then even though you shown it as if it was needed?
I was wanting to play this but since loadiine is deperecated and doesnt work on tiramisu and aroma it wouldn't, is there a way you could get it to work on the homebrew launcher?
I was able to use it with out a problem, followed a recent ish video on CZcams so it should still work
Just curious how you installed this onto the og hardware. On your release page I get the cemu build and push it through Wii U usb helper to get a wup installable package, when I try to load the game from the menu though after installation I get the Nintendo network id error you were dealing with. Normally sigpatches fixes this issue but it still persists for me. Any help is appreciated!
So sorry you had a problem, I'm going to update the install instructions. But here is a quick fix.
I had to use a different program after wup and the USB helper didn't work. It's from the homebrew store and it's called Loadiine GX2. Then on your sd card in the Wii u folder create a new folder called games and drag the game folder into that. Yell at me if it still doesn't work
@@thedevatlas ohh, loadiine yea, I used to use that but once I switched over to aroma after it was more flushed out, i stopped using it and installed apps directly from a wup. Ill give loadiine a shot. Thanks

I remember getting new horizons after a preorder, I was so disappointed you couldn't swim day one. After unlocking kk slider there's nothing to do
@@SweetToddnew horizons is really disappointing, I was one of the only people in my social group who still played it after the last year of updates. The dlc padded it out and I've been trying to finish my museum but it's very... Plain. Still feels unfinished when it comes to interactions. Shame :(
