Asking On Paper to look at anything other than the record as opposed to the actual fight, where Reyes definitively out-struck Jones and defended all takedowns across 3/5 rounds, is like asking him to prevent Johnny Walker attacking his family. Impossible. Also you are absolutely right. He very arguably lost to one legged Santos and Gus should have been a split-decision as, again, there is a serious argument Gus won 3-2.

Jones has spent his entire career fighting guys who were essentially a weight division below him so it is the perfect fight for him
