    Thanks Greg, I’ve just ordered one and it’s coming on Monday. Your video will save me some pain. All the best from London, UK.

    Greg, thank you. I have had mine for a few months and just now going to start putting it together. I was so happy to see that you put this up. I am sure it is going to help a lot! Happy Thanksgiving and God bless you and all you love!

    Thanks for the video! I can’t find anywhere in the specs that show how high up the beams are from the ground. Like if you were walking into it how tall would you have to be to hit your head? Thanks :)

      I just measured. It's 80 inches. Hope that helps you.

    Nice video
    How much did you pay for it? How deep are the concrete footings?
    Thanks

      I think I paid around 1100 Canadian from Costco delivered to my place

    Nice video! How long did it take to complete the project?

    • @GregRocheleau
      @GregRocheleau  Před 3 lety +1

      I did it over a couple days. Probably about 6 hours all together not including putting cement footings under a couple posts. It was a nice project.

    Hello what size anchors did you buy to secure it? We are building it on a concrete slab 4 inch depth .thank you

    • @GregRocheleau
      @GregRocheleau  Před 2 lety +1

      The clearance holes in the bracket are about 1/4 inch. I used 3/16 tapcon concrete screws.

    Did you install a fan and light? Are there gaps in the roof? We are thinking of adding extra rafters to add a fan and light …just wondering if this is possible … We have a 16x12 yardistry and there are no gaps in the roof plus it has plenty of rafters so it was easy to add a fan and a light by just adding a board . Thank you!

    • @GregRocheleau
      @GregRocheleau  Před 2 lety +1

      No we didn't put a fan or lights. We have put rope lights in the rafters in the winter. We also have the 12 x 16. It has been an extension to our outdoor living space. I am planning on adding a wood stove and temporary walls during the cold months.

    • @cskuza
      @cskuza Před 2 lety

      @@GregRocheleau thank you. May I ask why did you remove the lights ? We also have the led electric string lights around the 12x16 gazebo. They are not solar but we left them all year round. We only turn them on when we are out. We are in Northern California Bay Area and gazebos around us have the lights on all year. Thank you for your answers .

      @@cskuza we had the lights on throughout the holidays. In the warmer months I like to use my oil lanterns. If I use citronella oil it helps with mosquitoes.

    What is the exact distance beetwen the footings ? I'm planning to have them done ahead of time. Tx

    • @GregRocheleau
      @GregRocheleau  Před 3 lety

      Go to the yardistry website and will give you the the extract distance and size for each post. I went 36 inch depth hole with a 2x4 frame on the surface. The depth is to prevent shifting from the frost. The 2x4 frames you can level to each other before you pour the concrete. You want the top surface larger then the post size so you can anchor the post down after.

    • @Angelotiangel
      @Angelotiangel Před 3 lety +1

      Sounds good. Thank you . I'm in Ontario and I think that we need to go 4 feet deep to get below the frost level .

    Hi I have another question. We had our grilling pavilion installed but the inside along the ridge of the roof in the center shows screw holes The light filters through . It doesn’t look completely sealed . Did you have this problem? Our other large gazebo is perfectly sealed . The installer is coming back to take a look at it . We just want to know we are not asking for the impossible. Thank you

    • @GregRocheleau
      @GregRocheleau  Před 2 lety

      I have never noticed light filtering through. I can check on our next sunny day. The centre ridge slides in to seal where the roofs meet. Not sure why there would be screw holes.
