I'm an advance DJ/Turntablist, and I cosign this video of tips by DJ LiftOff, with added support of learning to mix using the volume/up faders. Also, remember to move your Bass knob to 9 o'clock while chirping to avoid the bass clash, and gradually move it back to 12 o'clock after the mix-in. If scratching to a beat, keep the bass at 9 o'clock or less. Great advice DJ LiftOff!!!!!!!
🙏🏾🙏🏾 thank you, much appreciated!! And definitely great additional tip 💯
I don’t know what made you get up one day and decide to share your knowledge, but you’re a Godsend for these videos.
Much appreciated man, honestly 🙏🏾 - always felt that there was no need to hoard the knowledge 💯

Big up always mi breda 👊🏾🤝🏾🤞🏾👌🏾
🙏🏾🙏🏾 appreciate you bro!
Good Tips mane
Appreciate it Murph 💯🙏🏾
Good video Liftoff. I’m guilty of constantly using my crossfader when mixing. Trying to break an old habit. 👊🏽
Appreciate it bro 🙏🏾 - not necessarily a terrible thing. But the faders definitely offer more control in the long run!
Cool stuff...
Thanks G 🙏🏾
Thank you for another great tip!!! I had to pat myself on the back a little bit as your first 3 tips are already part of my practice routine to get more comfortable. I had been struggling with my crossfader timing while trying to learn the chirp scratch, this lesson just helped it all click more for me. Good DJs never stop learning so you can bet I stay up on your tutorials as well as some of the other awesome DJ tutors available. All of which have helped me excel through the learning curve. People outside the DJ scene would never guess I have less than 6 months experience. I rocked the club this weekend, and as you can guess...the only person in the club that knew I was a beginner was a fellow DJ lol. He was trying to hate on me but he had trouble getting through the crowded dance floor to come critique me 😂😂😂😂
Which I found funny and ironic lol.
Also, I don't do any complicated scratches at my live shows just yet because I know I am not there yet. I'll baby scratch in the song I am mixing but thats it...
You're very welcome man!! Definitely deserve a pat on the back for that, especially since you're so early in to DJ'ing. Glad the chirp scratch tip helped! And I couldn't agree more. I literally am always trying to learn new mixing and scratch techniques to this day -- never stops!
Ahaha, can't even trust your own fellow DJ friends. Glad he got stuck in the crowd ahah!
I ALWAYS use my channel faders to mix! Also another tip to use along with using no headphones is using real vinyl to practice👍🏾 and for extra credit , use 45’s!!🙏🏾😊

DJ Liftoff great video as always.. can you give me your take on color coding the BPM grid. If you do it, what's your reasoning as to why you color code them. If you can do a video that would be dope too.
Thank you 🙏 -- I'm not sure if there's a way to disable the color coding within Serato but I've always used the default settings in terms of the color in Serato for the grid and it has honestly helped me. With everything color coded, you know if a song is starting with a kick, or a longer smooth sample, a clap, a bass drop, and so on. It really helps to only know what's upcoming within the song, but to prepare a song you're intro'ing as well, in which many cases, you eventually don't have to rely on headphones to know what the upcoming song sounds like.
Hope that helps! Def could be a great video topic as well, thanks!
@@DJLiftOFF thank you bro for your comment czcams.com/video/cNID6-IQwnc/video.html
Check this out. I asked another dj and he made a video. I want ur input if u use this or not
@@DaKlubHK ahhh, I was thinking the colors of the waveforms.
Based on the video you linked, I can definitely see how this could be helpful to stay a little organized. I personally have never color coded this way and probably won’t, but it definitely has its benefits.
