Haven't heard from you the comments l made about Internet online career mode killing game Industry...All the new golf games mostly online....l have the rights to complaint about the developers on pga tour tiger woods 2k23 ps4...If you want to play or buy the game on Internet, then don't bother the ps4 disk just to download contents....l wasted £50 this disk ps4, and career mode only online....That a cheat...Also Game manual guide should more information weather the game online on manual Guide..,Would save alot of bother buying or not....About somebody out there speak out....Disgusting customer.

A bit late to the game, but that means I've gone around different gameplay tutorials. This one is BY FAR the best I've seen. Yes, I'm a believer in feel, but you compartmentalize the components with some solid numbers, and make it extremely easy to process. I fell off from this game for a month or so, just getting frustrated with there seeming to be no rhyme or reason to putting, just "good luck bro lol".
You've restored my interest and desire to play this (awesome) game with more critical thinking, and therefore a bit more confidence!

~> For a short time I like using the putting aim assistant. I mark where I feel the break ought to be against the aim assistant.
~> For those very fast breaking putts of any distance...Aim higher & add a little more power.
~> I'd like see the white vertical hole line replaced with black or made a little thicker. I find it difficult to see during for green side shot shots and even with distance putts on the green.
I just bought this and so excited, what was even better u can use 3 button press for swing and not the sticks. My last game was 2k21 and that game is dire! Glad I didn’t pay for it.
Anyone remember pga tour golf for sega mega drive? I mastered the putting on that much to my friends and 1 of my friends dad. The break lines just needed to be counted, if there was 30 lines going left and 20 going right then u pressed right 10 times. I was 1 shotting 50 yard putts. So much simpler that game was back then but was amazing I loved that game.

What an excellent tutorial! Great job in breaking down the thought process given the mechanics of the game. I also like that you brought realistic expectations into the putts. On the monsters, yeah it would be nice to hit the cup, but mostly likely you wont, aim for the two putt, and be happy that you're close. You also did a great job of communicating your thoughts into practical advice. Great video buddy, you got a sub from me.

I think your point on "using the eye test" before the putt is a great point.
Yeah I make so many putts by making changes at the end with the eye test.

Just recently bought this game, and this video definitely helps. The last two golf games I played were Rory Mcilroys and Tiger Woods PGA tour 07. This game seems a little more complex.

I know I am at least a year late commenting on this video, but I bought the game on sale just a few days ago. Let's say that putting is the most challenging part of the game, and this tutorial, combined with lots of practice, helped me no longer miss all my putts! Anyhow, you got another sub, and I'll check out your other PGA Tour videos.
As an aside, the last Golf game I played was Tiger Woods 2014, and if my memory serves me right this 2023 release is a lot tougher.

Yeah I agree I found it a little tough to get used to but mastered it pretty quickly. I've actually been playing the old Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy games for a while and this is similar in terms of the basic gameplay.
I use the apex of the break and adjust based on that. No math. Just feel. No problem for me. Great video 👍

Good tutorial. Ive found approach, Short game, Putting and accuracy are most important. Power is only really good for par 5 eagle opportunities. All courses have more par 4s, birdies on par 4s are the winning ticket in the early career. I've found hybrids are better than long irons and fairway woods for holding greens on long second shots. Ive got 3 wedges, PW-6I, 7h, 5h, 3h and Driver most of the time.

It’s basically tour pro difficulty putting from the old Tiger woods games back in the day but there was no putt line in those games
Idk why, but ive always been good at putting, pool, or anything similar. My problem is shots from the rough, chip shots, etc. Also on 2k I have a problem hitting straight lol
Don't get tricked by the lines moving. they have not fixed it at all. and the aim line that shows how the put should break is off by a lot as well

On most puts people miss narrow and if I were to miss I'd rather miss on the wide side as it's going towards the hole. Missing narrow it has no chance!!!
Helpful! I love everything about this game except the putting system. It should get better with some updates. On 2k I don't use the meter. I just aim and putt. I'd like that option.

Can you make a video investigating if there's any difference whatsoever between putting skill 0 and putting skill 10? There's a lot of debate about this.
The best way to explain the grid to someone new (just did this to my dad who just bought this game as his first golf game), is picture putting a marble on the green, it’s gonna roll the same way the grid bubbles are going.
So, be aggressive and compensate for everything?
As somebody that likes to play on sim with no grid and all that stuff I feel like there is no way to read the greens. I feel like they need to add a caddy tip in that mode or something! At least give me a camera angle low enough to see the elevation change
Hi love the video's. On my PS5 I can see a vert faint grid, very had to see, the beads don't show. not seen the since I started playing, I've been into settings to turn the on, but still see nothing readable, very frustrating.
Hmm, that is very odd the grid moving beads are not showing up. The only time the grids beads should not show up is if you are playing on Simulation difficulty. What difficulty are you playing on?

Putting is broken. If you’re more than 5ft away, forget it. The reads are always wrong. It also seems like the more skill you put into putting, the worse it gets.
non putting question, i keep having a slow tempo, is there any way to change my tempo setting which I chose when creating my career character.
Yes you can go into edit your golfer and change the swing tempo to slowest which might help a little.

I use the default follow camera. And when hitting my shot I use the lowest camera.

I hate that this game doesn't have a driving range and putting green where you can set up your own putts. I turn so many birdies into bogeys putting that it's depressing. I'm hoping this helps!
I am with you. This is one o the best golf games missing some of the most obvious necessities. No driving range has me still scratching my head, but its the putting that gets me. Now first, respect to all of those who found a way to succeed at Putting. I am at a 93 Ovr and a 45 on my XP level. I can not for the life of me understand way my putter more than half the time does not swing strait. I can move the stick as strait as I can and it totally glitches out like i totally lost control. I don't even play career because I can never make the cut from the Korn Ferry. I am 1 away from maxing out my putting skills and it does not make a difference, Im at a loss and ready to just move on.
Haven't gotten that far yet, but can't you upgrade putters? The last version (Rory McIlroy) had a thing where you could select up to 4 categories dependent on level that would shuffle your skill ratings between categories. Also having played those older versions recently that might be why I actually got used to putting very quickly even though I still suck overall.
Can you please explain that meter with the 3 white lines? You have to get as close to the middle line as possible? How does that work?
Yeah so the middle line is the perfect power spot. If you swing forward short of the middle line it will be an underswing with decreased power and if you swing past the middle line it is an overswing with increased power on the putt.
@@GamerAbility Thanks for answering, and for the video. So over/underswing is just a matter of hitting harder or softer? I would assume that overswing affects accuracy.

Hey Ryan how do you get the low putting view on ps5
So hit triangle on the controller when you are on the green. Then push the left thumbstick in (L3), or it may be right thumbstick (R3) for you. Clicking the thumbstick in is how you cycle through the cameras. So hit it twice and you should be on the low camera. Then use the thumbstick to look around.

How I putt is to have the green grid off and have the putt read on. It helps a lot, but I don’t always make tough putts!

Make this exact video on Wolf Creek, the uphill speeds I don't think stand up to your idea
Yeah, so that is why I said as a general rule. It is still important to do the eye test and make changes based on how your first uphill putt goes on a course each round. More of a guideline than a hard and fast rule. Wolf Creek you may have to use like 2.0 on uphill putts depending on the round.

@Scotland Investor777 aiming is not all that different than the other EA titles. Now you actually have to putt it well with your stroke instead of just aiming well. Basically I can aim perfect and still miss because I am a hair early.....or I can aim terribly but accidently overhit it and make it still. It's pretty rough.
Smooth tempo. Follow through must be green. It’s fine if the backswing is red by 0.7%, but it must not be short!
What on earth have EA done too PGA Road to the masters , which now is called PGA tour Oak Hill??? The patches have totally screwed up the game.

I've played a lot of golf games, and using the analog is about as ridiculous as it gets. Hold your controller normal, your thumb "does not" move straight, forward or backwards. You're forced to hold it in an unnatural position just to create a better chance at a correct swing plain. Garbage. But if you use the 3 click method, you're immediately left out of most tourneys because they use the f..king analog. It's truly bulls..t. I'm not training myself to hold the controller in gimpy fashion. For this reason alone, I can't play this garbage.
