Wow! I actually said that same thing to Eddie in person when I worked with him on Dolomite is my name. He said very softly and humbly "Thank You". Yeah, that's a sleeper hit.

Eddie Murphy is one of my favorite actors, I love his movies especially Trading Places and Coming to America. I am looking forward to watching Beverly Hills Cop 4 in the movie theaters.

For a 63 year old he looks great, outstanding…he could easily lie about his age…more like 35-40
I'm not sure what interview everyone watched, but Kelly didn't talk over or interrupt Eddie. The conversation was super interactive, but she has a quick cadence and he has a slower one. It may seem like she's talking over him, but if you pay attention, there are times he finished a thought, she spoke, and he came back with another thought, and she stops. Most of us aren't active listeners in our everyday lives, so relax with all the jugement.
Not to mention, it's EDDIE MURPHY, and I'm sure it's mind blowing to her. Conversations in general are hard when you don't know someone, but add in a legendary comic, an audience, a camera, and directors it has gotta be hard. The keyboard courage is a lot in these comments.
Kelly did just fine. People just feel the need to talk stupid. Like you said, keyboard courage.

Eddie has been on set with some of the funniest, most legendary comedians and actors of our time like Richard Pryor, Redd Foxx, Della Reese, Arsenio Hall and Martin Lawrence and the only movie he had fun making was Trading Places with Dan Aykroyd. No offense to Dan but those other sets had to be something special. I wish Eddie would've talked more about that!

But with Dream Girls, I totally forgot it was Eddie. He acted his ass off, and deserved it so much. If you know what I mean. No disrespect to all his other rolls. I love all of them. Growing up with Eddie Murphy, I’d like to see him in a Mrs. Doubtfire role. Something like a The Hangover meets Mrs. Doubtfire meets RuPaul’s Drag Race. He’s the closest thing I got now since Robin Williams has passed and I hope he gets more roles to further move himself into an even more bigger full potential than he thinks he can achieve. ps. He HAS NOT aged at all. He looks really great!

I love Kelly, but she's too quick to want to move on to the next subject. Eddie had to slow her down and finish his thoughts about actors. It's okay to have a lull in the conversation now and then - even for television.
I agree. She's talking a mile a minute, and he's so chill. Just let him talk. She's not asking any new questions that haven't been asked on other shows, so maybe cut a few of them so he can elaborate a little bit on some topics.

Kelly has producers in her ear telling her to move on so they can get in as many story points as possible for the guest. Talk shows like these have time constraints but if it were up to Kelly we all know she’d spend an hour with each guest.

The man is a comic genius. The "Nutty Professor," movies are some of the funniest I've ever seen. But I wished he'd have at least acknowledged Chevy Chase in their photo together. Then again, I have no idea of their history. I'm still a huge Eddie Murphy fan.
