@Infernal Ennui keeping rage drives would remove the need of the heat system unless your talking about replacing the heat system with rage drive entirely

I miss Tekken 6 a lot honestly, looks so much cleaner than 7 too imo.
As I understand it in 6 vanilla and the initial release of Bloodline Rebellion it was even worse. They nerfed it like twice before the game got a console release.
Does not surprise me, new mechanics in Tekken games seem to be overturned initially. Reminds me of rage drives on the first version of Tekken 7 FR

I hope Tekken 8 will have a setting where u can equip replay after every round also I hope Tekken 8's character customization will be like Tekken 6,Tekken 5 and TTT2 cause they had really really cool customizations

Damage was just really high overall in this game, at least compared to T7. Curious to see how T8 will be. By the looks of things it seems like moves will be even less damaging (Or you could argue you just have much more health) in T8 in order to make the fights a little longer. You also got the health regen mechanic as well which will be cool to see.
Damage are way bigger in t8 than t7 they made a very small scrub combo and it still did half hp so a good optimal combo with good wallcombo will probably be death combo
@@arn_chronome571 Honestly I think it’s just that the game is too new to tell which way it’ll go. When I look at Jin (my main) I see a massive damage nerf, but when I look at at xiaoyu I see a massive damage increase to an almost insane level. If you haven’t already you can find a good video by “the Fade room” they did an alpha match Jin Vs Xiaoyu. Xiaoyu will just throw these insane powercrush moves that do insane damage whereas Jin will do full combos and struggle to do the same damage. You can see the massive damage nerf on Jin’s side when you look at his geyser combo, that is an insanely damaging move in tekken if all hits connect it does 57 damage, whereas in T8 it barely seems to do 30. So in tekken 7 a full geyser is around 1/3 hp, where as in T8 it seems to do around 1/8 of hp. Pretty insane difference. So that’s why I think it’s probably likely they want to bring the damage down on a lot of moves, and they are still working on that for other characters. Remember they want to make the game more aggressive, but if one launch causes insane amounts of damage like in T7, then people will likely be more reserved and carful not to get hit like today in T7. So that combined with Jin’s heavy nerf, I think they plan to do this is most characters.
@@arn_chronome571 I just realised the fade room did two alpha videos on Jin and Xiaoyu, the one I’m talking about is the one from 2 weeks ago on June’s stage. I think in like the 3rd round Jin starts with a hop kick into geyser and barely does any damage compared to what it would do in T7, I think that’s a good showcase of the nerfed damage.

Tekken is Tekken After all lol everyone complain about damage in t7 and thats how you see they're New players that dont know Tekken just look at old combos in Tekken they were doing everytime at least mid life
@@arn_chronome571 Isn’t that evidence that they will decrease damage output in T8? They’ve done that for just about every tekken game. I’ve played since T4 so I’m familiar that T7 is probably the lowest damage tekken in the series. The only 3/4 combo I’ve seen in T8 that I can think of off the top of my head was a Jin V lars combo from Jin which required like a 10 hit combo with multiple wall splats, no where close to a beginner combo. So what “beginner” combos are you talking about? You can simply compare exact moves like I did with Jin’s Geyser combo in my last combo. Maybe it’s true that a lot of other characters are getting damage buffs like you say, but looking at Jin that seems to not be the case.
Stage designs in tekken 6 are sm better then the ones that were given in tekken 7 , i cannot wait for tekken 8 stages the leroy map looks amazing already

There’s something about the fluid ness of Tekken 6 (especially when you watch it) that I hope Tekken 8 has. Also yeah rage damage is inside. And keep in mind Boss Jin just activates it every Round….

Balanced mechanic. Look how much damage Bryan (:30) did with three pokes and two hard hitting moves. It would be appalling if doing a sick combo with rage would do less damage than that.
I remember doing 314 of Jin kazama for 60% health and win rhe round.
Honestly I'm glad they nerfed rage damage in tekken 7, but sad that they'll take out rage drive for tekken 8, even though I understand why. With the heat system and the new combos and the changes to okizeme, leaving rage drive in would be too much
Why do these graphics look better than tekken 7
More naturalistic approach to lighting, motion blur, much higher resolution than T7 console (T6 console was pretty low res too), assets that were built for the engine, rather than being ported to UE4.
Resolution aside, Tekken 6 looked excellent considering it debuted in arcades in 2007 (8 for Bloodline Rebellion)
T7 had a smaller budget compared to the previous games since the last two games (6 and Tag 2) didn't do so well commercially despite how expensive they were to make.

As much as i hated it, the game was incredible. And tekken 6 will never be topped with this new flashy junk of a “tekken” 7 and 8
And had they took the time to literally debuff the damage by 20% in this game it will 100% be the most fun in mechanics and visuality
This is what a good come back mechanic should look like. Don't give a player a panic super, let them fight their way back
