Thanks for another clearly explained video.
Great how to video!
Being able to shorten or lengthen the necklace also allows you to adjust it for different diving configurations; ie, drysuit, wetsuit or just a rash guard when diving in the tropics.
I agree with Oren. I asked Chris to fashion a necklace on my primary. Test drove work today for the first time, and it was much better than letting the primary float. So nice to know right where the regular was every time I reached for it. Excellent advice.
What toggle are you using? The ones I got are too weak. Thanks for a great video.
Thanks Chris for the good video. I like your idea at 5:50 regarding the use of a double zip tie to secure the necklace to the mouthpiece. Question: My 2nd stage already has a single zip tie which secure the mouth piece to the regulator. Should I replace this with the double zip tie, or place the double zip tie in back of the single one? Thanks.
It’s should be two zip ties joined to each other, so that there is only one width of zip tie around the mouthpiece
@@divezonescuba Thanks Chris perhaps I should have been clearer. I already have a single zip tie that holds my mouthpiece on. Does the double zip tie (2 zip ties joined together) replace this?
@@danflaherty1132 Yes that is correct. You remove the original one piece zip tie holding on the mouthpiece. You put to zip ties together forming a loop and then put the single loop over the mouthpiece and tighten. You should be careful when you pull the zip ties tight so that the nub is symetrical on both sides. You can have it either on each side or just below the mouthpiece. On some regulators, that will lock the bungee in place. I think that is what you are asking about?
@@divezonescuba Yes, thanks!
Those pre-made silicone regulator necklaces SUCK! They are horrible. I wanted to like them, but my reg kept falling out.
I tied my own necklace out of shock chord, as you describe. It's been going strong for years. NEVER as issue it loosening or the reg coming out.
I had the same problem with the regulator falling out. You also cannot use the silicone necklace to secure your long hose by wrapping it around the coiled hose.
