𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗛𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗕𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗔𝘃𝗼𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗱:
Boat Crashes into Wall Near Kewaunee Lighthouse
On the 4th of July, a report of a boat that crashed into a stone wall just north of the Kewaunee Lighthouse was made to the Kewaunee County Sheriff's Department.
The boat's operator, a 58-year-old man from Minnesota, also contacted the communications center, saying he had struck the barrier and that four people were on the boat, two of whom were injured.
While the incident is under investigation, it is evident that a boat colliding with a wall is a scenario that could have been prevented using the right technology, which we are used to having in every aspect of our lives, including when driving our cars.
WATCHIT's Smart Collision Prevention System could have detected the vessel's dangerous proximity to the wall and alerted the operator, potentially avoiding this costly accident.
