    Please remember guys there are LOS laws that are in place just because I've designed something that can go out and number of miles does not mean it's legal to do it but it does guarantee you an extremely strong signal the whole flight. I know a lot of you would like me to take this thing out to its full potential but unfortunately I would get in trouble someone would turn the video in and I would get in big trouble and honestly I like this hobby a lot I don't want to get the high be taken away from everyone because I wanted to perform a long-range flight tests to see exactly what it could get.

    I'm surprised that there were 5 dislikes. This is one of the best detailed explanations that I have seen to date. I Have been wondering how to get better stability streaming when flying my AR drone and my Bebop. The wifi streaming was really keeping me from flying my drone because the video stream quality was really hurting my eyes. Thank you Drone Whisperer haha

      In Florida it is really nice to make a base station for yourself because it allows you to sit in your vehicle and lap up the AC instead of sitting in a hundred and ten degree weather because your transmitter has to be outside for good reception. By the way this setup will spank both Sky controllers it has a 500Mw output neither skycontroller even comes close to that signal push so essentially you could probably take this out to the entire leash of the battery with no problem and have fpv the entire time

    I'm a complete novice, so I have to follow every step exactly as you show in your video. So it would be very good if all parts are as fashionable as you use.
    You mention that I can use the electricity from the car. Did I get it right? What do I need then for things to make it work? I have so little money, so it must be as cheap as possible with all the parts.

    • @IFixShet
      @IFixShet  Před 6 lety

      Mike Comeau remember due to Los laws I cannot believe take the drone over a mile all of the controllers that I have will reach the one-mile mark. It's up to you to perform your own long-range flight I can't do that illegal stuff on my channel sorry. The skycontroller one will easily make it out of my life I have already done that video and I put it against the Wi-Fi repeater in the exact same area and both of them performed out to the one-mile mark without issue so you can pretty much assume the skycontroller 2 is going to do the exact same thing however the Wi-Fi repeater is running the strongest signal out of both of the transmitters that parrot offers the Wi-Fi repeater will get you the furthest distance

    • @IFixShet
      @IFixShet  Před 4 lety

      No it does not use more battery power the Drone does not change the signal output just because you're using a different transmitter. The transmitters job is to amplify the signal and extend it as far as possible the Drone just supplies a very basic signal output of 9 DB through 15 DB

    Is this for using the phone only, or can it be used with the sky controller? And/ or can you use that set for using the phone for the fpv viewing, and the sky controller to control the drone? I'm getting a Bebop 2 soon. Put it on layaway at a pawn shop. And it'll be my 1st "real" drone, other than cheaper "toy" drones. So I'm trying to learn as much as I can before I get it. So, hopfuly it won't haul ass somewhere, cause I didn't do something rite. And I'd like to boost the signals, just for piece of mind, and hopefully not loose it.

    • @IFixShet
      @IFixShet  Před 4 lety

      Why does everybody ask this question you can only transmit one signal.... you either use the skycontroller or you use a Wi-Fi repeater. Don't worry about losing signal it doesn't matter all that's going to happen is the failsafe will engage in the Drone will fly itself back to its takeoff point and land in front of you that's what it's designed to do as long as it has a GPS connection

    To be clear, The Wi-Fi repeater used in conjunction with your cell phone, then makes the cell phone the controller for the drone, or can the repeater be used in conjunction with the Skycontroller 2, with the Skycontroller 2 acting as the controller, and the repeater as a booster for the Skycontroller 2 ??

      You're thinking about this the wrong way get yourself a fly pad and on the back of the thigh pad where the bracket holds your phone tape a small power bank to it and then plug in the USB dongle repeater and connect it to the drones internet then connect your phone internet to the Wi-Fi repeater. The fly pad will connect through Bluetooth allowing you to control the Drone with a controller you're basically building a portable skycontroller

    Hello and thank you for your uploads ! I was wondering if you could help me with something....I have a bebop 2 and a Hubsan which comes with a wifi extender. This is supposed to be proprietary but I have managed to use the Hubsan app and connect to the bebop instead . The extender is the h500t model and it is an open wifi. All I had to do was rename the parrot’s wifi name by adding HUBSAN_ in front and it recognizes it. So I figured I could then connect to it with my phone - and I can do that as well. But when I try to use the bebop pro app, it goes into cockpit but you can’t see any picture. The Hubsan X app in the meantime is running in the background. I have also been able to find the IP address of the Hubsan extender but there is no web administration page. Further tinkering reveals that port 23 is open on the extender for telnet. Do you know if it is possible to change settings in the extender via telnet? Thanks in advance for any input you may have

    • @IFixShet
      @IFixShet  Před 5 lety

      @@yunielbon8956 that is not what the skycontroller one or two offer you can take them way further you just have to understand Wi-Fi signal. Remember they are directional antennas always have to keep the antennas pointed at the bird while flying you also cannot allow any obstructions to get in between you and the signal to your bird that means no trees in the way and no buildings no nothing Wi-Fi Birds prefer to fly high when traveling long distances get your quad as high as you can go if your limit is 400 feet and take it up to 400 feet if you're trying to reach more than a mile away. do not deviate from your course stay on a straight path away from the transmitter to get good range turning left or right will screw up your range capabilities. take your drone out to a low Wi-Fi interference area preferably no Towers no electrical interference no neighborhood because all of these things play a a vital role in how far you're going to be able to fly a Wi-Fi operated bird. My best flight so far was 2.6 miles on the sky controller 2 and 2.3 miles on the skycontroller one. it all comes down to understanding Wi-Fi signal that will determine how good your flight is going to be
