- To adjust IKEA Kitchen Cabinet Drawer Fronts, you need a Philips head screw driver to make the adjustment. You can adjust the drawers left and right, up and down. On the taller drawer fronts, you can adjust the tilt front to back.

Good to see a CZcams video maker that actually knows what he's doing rather than simply pumping out videos.
You were a big help.
I had my doors and drawer fronts replaced by Ikea after swelling due to moisture. My instructions on how to build and adjust the hinges and drawers has long sense been trashed LOL
This one guy had a 18 minutes videos. But this one was plain and simple thank you
Incredible, in less than two minutes, with clear, objective instructions I learned how to fix this freaking made-in-the-heart-of-Mount-Doom Ikea drawers. Thanks++++
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!! I was SO annoyed with a small gap I had on one of the drawers, this is incredible!!
Why would ANYONE give this video a Thumbs Down? There are some seriously messed up people out there. An excellent, well explained concise video... THANK YOU!
OHMGoodness!!! Thank you for this video. It did not completely work for me until I read all the helpful comments though.
1. You have to loosen the screw under the drawer first. I just removed my screw completely.
2. For my Sektion drawers, they have a plastic screw (it’s starting to strip due to no info from ikea how to adjust. smh) for me to move my drawer to the LEFT, I had to turn the screw on the RIGHT side clockwise. Then the LEFT screw counter clockwise.
Step 2 did not work until I unscrewed the screw under the drawers.
Hope this helps!
Re: 1. There's no screw under my 40/60cm width drawers, only on the 80cm drawers
Thank you so much! I’ve wasted so much time trying to figure this out. Such a simple explanation - legend!!
Wow. Fixed my OCD irritation with the kitchen cabinets in just a few minutes. Perfect. Thanks!
The one flaw in my opinion is that the sideways adjustment screws turn endlessly, so you really can't tell what is going on, I can turn and turn them forever and have can't see any difference in the drawer position. And in the meantime, because they are plastic, they strip quickly. These should be metal and have a fixed turn radius like the vertical ones.
We had the exact same experience.
Same here
I'm here because of them (laughs maniacally)
So happy to see that you took the time to show these adjustments....thank you very much!
You're welcome!
Wish I'd seen this earlier. Fantastic thanks, short and to the point!
I got the up and down. The side to side is what was blowing my gasket.
Thanks!
For side to side adjustment make a pencil mark on inside of drawer front and you will see which way the drawer front moves, the movement is very small.
Really helpful as I had this problem today and no obvious guidance anywhere from IKEA. Thank you.

This is the most concise and easy explanation. Thank you for your video. You have saved me hours.
Thanks! you're welcome!
Dude. This saved my project! Many thanks.
I was about to tear my kitchen apart until I saw this video. Thanks so much!
Good video. But you forgot about loosening the screw in the metal bracket on the bottom of the drawer, when making the horizontal adjustment. Which is the first step in the IKEA MAXIMERA instruction manual.
Also when you initially fit the metal drawer bottom bracket ensure that the screw is positioned exactly in the centre of the elongated hole. Otherwise you won't have any adjustment either way.
why can't ikea supply instructions this clear with their product?
THANK YOU!! I really needed this
THANKS SIR VERY VERY HELPFULL information
This is amazing and so helpful, thank you
Very helpful video. Thanks!
Merci beaucoup, très bonne explication 👌
Most helpful video on this subject. Thank you thank you!!!!
You're Welcome!
Thanks! This is helpful.
You just made my day. Thank you!
Very nice to hear that! Happy to help!
You're a hero! Thanks for this!
you're welcome!
You know how you adjusted the drawer by twisting the inside bracket? How would you do that with the low drawers that don’t have that bracket? 😕 i can’t figure why it’s kind of sticking out further on one side.
love it!! thanx!!
Thank you!
Great video.
You re the best.
Hey! this have been so helpful! thank you.
would have been better if you had filmed AROUND your hand
Thank you!🙏🙏🙏
Much better than the garbage ones from wickes , they can only be adjusted left to right ,right to left and up and down. Every single drawer front I've fitted is tilted either forwards or backwards ! Cant adjust the runners as they're in pre fixed locations , resorted to packing out either the top or bottom of the fronts to make them flush .
I can't get the screw furthest away from the drawer front to move either way to adjust thee height. What can I do? Is there something better than a screwdriver?
what drawer fronts did you use?
Hi. How to get big under sink drawer back in. Only clicks in on right side.Came out OK. We pulled up and out. Now is hard to get back in after putting new new drawer fronts on. Only clicks in on right side. How to adjust left side?
for some reason, I have about 3/8 inch gap between drawers and the adjustment screws do not adjust it enough to close gap......any suggestions ?
Thank you so much 😭
If the drawer face is loose, how do I tighten it so that it sits tight against the rails? After 8 years it’s got a lot of play in it and needs to be tightened.
How to adjust more to down?? My bottom drawer is about half inch too high. It will interfere with the top drawer
If you followed all the instructions on assembly, you'll never move the drawer face horizontally, you need to take out one screw, located at the bottom underside of your drawer, it ties the face, and bottom of the drawer together, it's a small piece of plastic with 3 screws, I took one out in the face, now it moves left to right, or vice versa, you'd think they would mentioned that!!
I have an existing draw carcass without Ikea holes and would like to fix an Ikea draw but it seems impossible to find out where the screw holes should be.
Hallo, I have had them same problems. Drilling the holes in the right places is the main problem we are having. Lay left and right sliders on a piece of card/paper and draw it - like template on this card, for both sides. Stick the template to the cabinet, pencil mark the holes, then drill the holes. (less weight, cos it's hard to hold the metal sliders). Then screw in the sliders. Use level to make sure all is even. I've just got mine and after a few mistakes, I hope this way i'll get them fitted in.
If I am facing the drawer and I want to move the drawer front ro the left. And first I am using the adjustment screw on the right side; do I turn the adjusting screw clockwise or cc? Thanks!
I don't recall, just try one way a little bit and and see what happens, that is what I do.
I THINK I turned the right side screw anti-clockwise and the left side screw clockwise to move my drawer to the left (not 100% sure anything happened though!)
The clips on the face of the drawer that "snap in" on each side of the rails are locked. I do I release those locks so I can take them out of the mechanism that locks in?
on the side of the mechanism there is a large Philips head looking thing, twist with a Philips head screw driver it and this will release the drawer front.
Thank you! Successfully unlocked!
How do you lower the bottom drawer so it covers the frame completely. By default, it’s the only part of the frame exposed. It’s terrible.
How can I remove this drawer?
What is the maximum adjustment up or down you can make?
I don't know for sure, but my guess would be 1/8" or maybe 1/4" up and down, not a lot, but enough to align with other drawers.
what about small drawers that have no struts and are not flush and need tilting?
There is no adjustment for that. You could use something to shim, push the top out, perhaps cut up a plastic card like a credit card.
I was looking for tightening the front when it loosens, not up-down, not side-side. That screw seems impossible to reach.
Thanks so much ! i was tearing my hair out ..
you're welcome, always happy to save hair.
Is it a forvara or maximera drawer?
maximera
You never saw what direction the draw goes on when you adjust side to side. Where’s your gap in this ? To the left or right ? And what do you do for each ? 1/5 stats
How is it that this guy sounds EXACTLY like Greg from Succession?
that was great
The left/right doesn't seem to work on most of my drawers. It's frustrating because some of them are pretty off.
the left/right need to be moved in unison, a little bit at a time, they may be binding up on you.
@@ZipZapDIY Any idea how to fix this if they are binding up?
Check the screw in the bracket on the underside is loosened, also the newer plastic adjustments are not as good as the old metal ones,
The left/right don't work at all even when I turn them in unison. This is the most frustrating thing and of course the Ikea manual is no help at all
I cannot get my draw flush still sticking out at the bottom
Same!!!!!
Heyyy I think I found a slight solution...my bottom part of the drawer was sticking out, but the upper didnt...so first I was adjusting everything only on bottom side...but for me the solution was that I made sure that the long stick in upper part was fully extended and the bottom one vice versa - fully shortened, so it made it better that way... I hope you understand what I meant, if not I can try to explain it better. Wish u luck.😊
Instead of saying "this screw here" , try the first screw from the front or second etc...
Uhm, it would be a great video if your hands didn't cover everything you did with a screwdriver :(
I have a question, are you a homosexual?
Do you know how to adjust it when it won't slide all the way in? Big sink cabinet isn't closing
