- In Indigenous cultures, bears play a significant role. For the Haíɫzaqv (Heiltsuk) Nation, bears uphold the laws of their ancestors, helping preserve language, traditions, and values. In the ecosystem, bears help feed the birds, nourish the soil, and sustain the growth of the forest.
Illahee means “our lands and our place within them” in Chinook Jargon Language. In choosing the word Illahee, we honour the intent of the Chinook Jargon Language to serve as a means of connecting people from diverse backgrounds to each other and to these lands.

What a wonderful display and amazing calming voice could listen to him forever
I will always remember this snowstorm, woke up, residential street of Goldeneye Street in Ingram was buired with at least 4 feet of snow. Had to get to work, only way I could get downtown was to put the truck in 4 x 4 mode as the streets and Hamilton Blvd was not even plowed yet. At work, my manager drove his car right into a 4 foot snowbank, during the day when we didn't have customers, we had to dig him out. I remember not many customers that day anyways and record slow day for business, most time spent on snow removal with the Bobcat. Today I live in Calgary and hopefully never see snow like in Whitehorse on November 2nd, 2020.
Thank you, this was awesome to watch!
