- "Lost Track New Zealand" takes you on a journey of a lifetime through the remote wilderness of New Zealand in search of perfect waves and life long memories. Follow surfer Torren Martyn and film maker Ishka Folkwell as they embark on a three month motorbike adventure into the depths of this great southern land.
After carefully customising Royal Enfield motorcycles to carry surfboards and all the essentials, Torren and Ishka battle the elements as they ride through storms, survive near death experiences and experience moments of bliss, all on a quest to escape into nature and ride perfect waves. In this feature film produced by needessentials, filmmaker Ishka Folkwell captures Torren’s timeless surfing against the backdrop of one of the most beautiful landscapes on earth. Set to an outstanding original soundtrack composed by Headland and Nick Bampton.
Lost Track New Zealand allows you to ride along on an epic adventure and reminds us that although life has its highs and lows, if you can ride those waves you'll always find contentment in a deep connection with nature and the ocean.

I Recently watched some footage of Bali in the 70’s and noticed a few comments particularly from younger folk saying how lucky we were back then and basically how everything has been discovered and is now crowded and shitty. so it truly warms my soul to see adventurous young guys like you2 out there just doing it with such style and simplicity. I did an NZ surf trip in the 70’s and even though it was amazing I’m truly in awe of your journey, so well shot and edited has a similar back to nature vibe of Morning of the Earth. Just wow. I've done roadies to most of these places and spent weeks surfing them, you have captured these locations so perfectly. By the way, I don't think that hunter meant to put you wrong about Careys Hut, it's most likely that it's a difference in perception. We hike that hut all the time and I wouldn't have considered it far either. Amazing work guys, I this will take its place as maybe the best NZ surf movie I've ever seen.

Motorcycles, surfing, incredible scenery of New Zealand, goats, honey bees and Torren Martyn--what a smorgasbord of delight. Have an hour? Well worth it. I felt like I was right with them. Thank you Ishka Folkwell for creating a beautiful homage to surfers.

Wow guys.. such an amazing film to watch. A tip of the hat to both of you for great cinemaphotography and surfing. I was genuinelly happy for you guys when you checked into the hotel for hot showers and dry conditions. Awesome adventure and such a welcome piece of surf movie creation in a world of corporate surf trips and logos everywhere plus those ruddy energy drinks(... that stuff will rot ya teeth). 5 stars all the way! NZ is majestic.

Ishka and Torren, thanks so much. This is so inspiring! Ishka, the cinematograhy was mind-blowing taking in account the levels of fatigue you guys have been through. Watched the whole thing in one go. Absolutely loved that it wasnt like any other surf movie with seamless surf compilation. True story, down to earth, no hipster flex.

I really enjoyed this film. I’m not even much of a surfer but really enjoyed it. The scenery is beautiful and the surfing was great. I really like Torren’s surf style. The music was awesome. Just a great vibe overall. I felt like I was watching a piece of art. Very relaxing and meditative. 👍🏼🤙🏽😎

Love this film, 2nd one of yours I've watched and this one is beautifully made too. Did a similar trip on a KTM 690 SM in 2012/13 and was almost wiped out by the same crazy wind coming over that pass into Wellington! Keep up the good work.

Wow, inspirational and epic. Love to see how even surf gods can come undone over the falls, the raw honesty rather than edited delusions of perfection is amazingly refreshing to see. It just makes those special wave where everything comes together even more special. And those bikes, seriously gonna get me an Enfield tourer.

I know nothing about surfing but that looked absolutely beautiful. Did a trip in the Himalayas on Himalayan’s and they are tough wee bikes. I live near the rimutaka hill road where you had a mare and it’s considered moto mana but terrifying on a windy day esp with a sail attached to you. A truly beautiful piece of work

As a teen I watched the surfers in California at Santa Cruz, & every surf movie I can find, I watch. I loved the Aussie flick” Breath”. An older surfer reluctantly takes two kids under his wing & tries to teach them to push their own limits. Beautiful scenery.
