    I guess another con regarding the polyline would be if you've outlined your main house, there is often more internal verts and eaves that will have to be single lines then it just becomes more work and its not even part of the polyline until you make it all in a group, but then it's just messy.

    I got burned by the Polyline this year. Had it for my garage outline and part of the roof. Everything was fine until I decided to change the start nodes and number of strings. Wanted to have strings start from both sides of the garage door at the bottom left and right corners. If I had done single lines it would have been so much easier, instead my garage outline is now a custom model and that was a huge pain to do the vert and horizontal sub model groups.

      Good on you to start experimenting. The Single Strand effects is a good effect to start with.
