- We got rained out last night, so we are starting first thing this morning wrapping what we baled yesterday. We are using an Anderson hay wrapper. It is a tube wrapper so all the round bales will be in straight lines wrapped together.

Nice bales y’all got, the wrapping looks like it went well.
Thank you! All in all it went well. Makes for much better days when everything works like it is supposed to
Sub'd! Love your vids and great info!
Thanks for watching!
This is fascinating to me as I lived on a farm in Va about ten miles west of Danville with my uncle when I was 4 thru 6 back in mid 1940s. We had to work at that young age back then, too. It was a lot of fun. Have fond memories of those days. Of course, everything was done manually back them-all we had was a truck and tractor and two mules and a gelding-Annie, Black Gal and Trigger. Black Gal had a nervous temperament and only Uncle Ervin who was big and strong could handle her.
Y'all can do the work of over 20 men with all that equipment. I would think farm work is a lot more profitable now. We raised tobacco. YUK! Put tobacco in smoke barns to cure and then would sell it.
No deer, no turkeys, no wild hogs, etc. I do remember hearing some bobwhites but don't remember ever seeing any. Had several dogs and back then they would have fits. An especially bad one was called a double dog dying fit. Poor dogs didn't understand what was happening to then and neither did I.
Thanks for watching our video and for sharing some of your story. We are very fortunate to have equipment options to make things easier and more efficient. Only problem is the cost of that equipment seems to be skyrocketing here lately....
Amen on that Bible verse. That sure is the truth!
We thought that was a good one for working in the hay field. Thanks for watching!
@@FarmerHunt exactly, that’s the way it’s been trying to cut hay in North Carolina this year too.
Does it hurt the quality not wrapping same day as baling? We usually try to bale and wrap within a few hours of it being rolled. If it doesnt hurt the quality or anything, that would make life a little easier to wrap the next day if need be.
Ideally we’d like to be able to bale and roll it within a few hours. Up until this year we always either had somebody wrap it for us or borrowed a wrapper so we always had to work around that. I would like to do some research on that though and see. We’ve always had really good luck with our haylage even if we wrap it the next day
Too much 'yacking' not enough 'wrapping'
😂😂 We'll do better next time
