The mangaka who worked on this masterpiece for 30 years. It's a tragedy, but to take a brief moment to step back, Berserk was always about understanding life is unfair and growing through the pains to thrive in spite of the injustice.

And they have already worked with Miura on Berserk and hinted that they might be finishing the series. Maybe. They have Miura's approval to work with his epic and coming from perfectionist that's no small merit.

There's just something so contrast between the lyrics and the melody itself. The lyrics described plunder and pillage, something that's considered as 'evil' in nature. The melody, however, is like a majestic calling of glory, like soldiers of divine origins coming down to 'help' humans. If we take a look back to the manga, this is exactly what Griffith's doing with his new world order. Soldiers of evil origin fighting for a 'good' cause, led by Griffith.
Even though I've never read or watch Berserk, I still come here to listen to this, such amazing music.

The worst part, unbeknownst to me when I watched this, is that the Hundred Years War was an actual war which took place between Britain and France. I’m genuinely fascinated by how well this song fits part of the historical documentation of the war

It's crazy to think how much of an imprint Shiro has had on this and that. If not Berserk, we also have Evangelion AND Shin Godzilla. Guy's a genius.
I always get kinda sad listening to golden age music. When the golden age came to an end there were two paths for this manga. Take the common road, end the series with a happy ending, with mystery as to what this "egg of the king" is, the band of the hawk becoming knights and Griffith eventually becoming king. Or take the path less traveled, have the most likeable character go through absolute hell, then when given a chance to regain all he lost and more, but the price is all of his friends, have him take it, the most likeable character has now become a villain but hey, he can be redeemed right? As the new villain is reborn he rapes the leading female character. All hope of redemption has now been lost. The series has now become one of a kind. A dark fantasy world revolving around a single mans quest to get his lover back, and then seek revenge for the man, who was once his greatest friend, that ruined his life and violated his woman. Although I like to think what may have been had Guts not left, had Griffith not slept with the princess, had he been executed and not tortured, had he rejected the god hands offer, I'm sort of happy it took the direction it did. Good vs. Evil is not a thing here, instead it's someone with their owns personal goals vs. some with their own personal goals. I love this series, the best action manga ever hands down

I used a mod for Skyrim that added Berserk music in combat for a Nord warrior Civil War playthrough. The chills I got when the 3:00 mark dropped right as I entered Markarth's gate and there's all these soldiers scrambling about and killing each other. Man, what a playthrough! Great music!

I don’t understand how berserk isn’t getting more love, I’m new to this series however after watching both the 1997 and this movie it makes no sense I know it’s old and the creator died a couple months ago I just don’t understand why? If there’s any anime that would be my second favorite it would be berserk while Re Zero would be my first don’t ask why I just fucking love it!!!!!
