I wonder about that as well. I mean in the last season of the original Roseanne she and Jackie gave their shares of it to Leon and Nancy, but that was the season they were rich, which I actually liked, and it was completely retconned, having been a book, or a book in a book (I’m not completely sure). As such, I doubt they actually did that. I guess it eventually met the same fate as Dan’s motorcycle shop.

The old Darlene also let herself get pregnant as a teenager dooming her to a life of near poverty.

I love Laurie Metcalf. I wish more actresses were like her, physical comedy and not afraid to go the extra mile with her acting. Actresses today just wanna stand around and look pretty.

Her arc of getting unattractive in Rosanne was incredible. She's super cute in the beginning and she gradually turns into Bob Denver and it's all artificial. The next show she was in after Rosanne she was hot again.

Yes, they totally missed the mark with Becky. She's pretty dumb and trashy now. Of course, a lifetime of disappointment and Mark's death are going to change her and send her into a spiral but Becky was never stupid or trashy.
However, Becky did start down that trashy stupid path at a VERY early age, around 15 or 16. And I know she was shown to be smart but again remember her age at the time, getting good grades in early high school doesn't mean you are smart, she could have just peaked early?

The sense of it spiraling into an alcoholic and taking the harder road with Mark, if you remember how it ended. I know of people unfortunately going down the drug/drinking road living a completely way and becoming a completely different person.IE: trashy It makes total sense,
@@windwhisper2456 I agree! She was doing good, but she dropped out of high school, lost her husband, and picked up drinking heavily. Also, she was always ditzy.

It's not "all these businesses" and they are still poor. It's the same one restaurant they opened up on the old show. The grandmother still owned it and didn't tell anyone and she was collecting rent from the occupants because she was socking money away to leave for them when she died. So, now Darlene has power-of-attorney over the restaurant and Jackie wants Darlene to give it to her.
@@hutch1197 This does not make since because Bev sold her share to Leon, Roseanne's Boss at the Diner in the mall. So how could Bev still own it?

If Jackie had all the money how did Darlene get it? I'm not understanding that. Maybe I missed that episode. Jackie was telling Becky that she had the start up money then all the sudden Darlene, supposedly had got the money from Bev.
If you've seen the old episodes where they wanted to open the lunch box, they tried to get loans but that didn't work.. they got the money from Bev.. Bev gave them the start up money, she was just a silent partner, then bev sold her half to leon, when they tried to get bev out. So for Jackie to have the start up money lol no she got if from her mom. Just like with her house, she got it from bev
@@honie66 In the episode where Jackie and Becky were talking about reopening The Lunch Box Becky asked Jackie where they were going to get the money and Jackie had stated she had some stashed away.

I hate what they did to Darlene and Becky's characters. Darlene is a weak parent who lets Harris walk all over her now and Becky just seems very trashy and stupid. Neither of them were like this when it was "Rosanne." Also, I loath how it's called "The Connors" and yet DJ barely gets any screen time or lines. He's becoming my favorite out of the three siblings and yet he's barely on.
Yeah and life happens. Addiction happens, tragedy happens.. sometimes looking past the Facebook facade shows you life is alot more gritty and hard then you expected. Roseanne was a gritty realistic show they were the white trash.. why would you try to hold these two characters up like they are anything less than their upbringing.
Was Rosanne a weak parent becuase Harris is doing what Darlene did.
@@captainjefferies9047 Rosanne was far from a weak parent, but since Darlene was a teenager then, she did what she wanted, like a lot of teenagers do but at times, Rosanne still put her foot down or scolded Darlene and Becky. I don’t even watch the Conners, it’s awful and predictable jokes. Rosanne carried her show. She apologized for her mistake but the way Hollywood is, they’re unforgiving if you’re not a liberal even though the Hollywood liberals say tons of cruel and degrading jokes about conservatives and Republican politicians, they get a pass and keep acting. 🤦🏻♀️

I like darlene, + jackie+ Becky some times Becky funny who needs roseaine this is kool cause who ever in this house my Fieance an my brother in law wants to watch something on tv📺 well they can we evette my b/ F we have our ear plugs on but the bad part of it my brother in law an sister in law goes in out they lived in the country an some times the internet goes in an out that's sucks we had to go leave our house cause of hurricane they live in eurance La I live in lake charles our trailer isn't liveable any more so. We can't live in our trailer til FEMA buy us a new one
