Heavy is Dead [But it's WW1 History]

- Franz Ferdinand is dead. Who killed him? Well, that doesn't really matter, because Austria-Hungary's still planning to curbstomp Serbia for it.
Alright, this has evolved into a tradition by this point. Once a year I'll take some TF2-related animation and rework it to make some history jokes. Definitely not the easiest or most reliable series, but they seem to get views over time. Who knows, maybe this one will too?
Thanks for watching. :)

Hey, thanks for watching my video. Your viewing support means a lot to me. There used to be a message here explaining that the purpose of this channel was a CZcams race between me and one of my friends, but I roundly trounced him (in yer face Spencer) so I can't put that here anymore. So uhh... I guess I just make CZcams videos for CZcams's sake now. Enjoy lmao

At the end Poland should have said "I am alive! Is nice!"
Then when it sees the means by which it was reformed it says."Yes, this is stupid."
Good one!
Very very good
True, im from Poland and i had this on history bruh
Poland should say: yes this is stupid. Because poland was not on the map for 123 years
YES!!!! :D Greetings from Poland XD
Very funny. I appreciate the editing done with the images and text configuring to the scene instead of just pictures sliding everywhere
That's the only way to show that this meme is more than just a barely executed idea.
True but one thing is wrong
*obamoid*
They really took time on that
My favorite is the +financial aid on Turkey when Germany kisses it
For a contest, not all Russian hate USA. I am Russian myself, and I need to thank you for everything you done. I sorry for my fellas, they just attack the ones that they don't want to understand.
Finally, the prequel we didn't want or expect, but we needed.
@Анастасия Борисова FYI I do not watch anime. I only like anime girls.
And my pfp is from Picrew, so shut up.

The vase says (48°14'33.2"N 15°12'09.1"E)
It points to Artstetten Castle, Franz Ferdinand and his wife's final resting place and a museum of him
That is an amazing detail there
2:18 I love how Pyro in the background is Hitler since he’s painting a picture of Spy
When heavy used his "hand" gun, you should place the text trench shotgun on it to poke fun at the controversy the german empire tried to stir up since it was so effective.
True, missed opportunity
Nah that's overused
1:24 Switzerland just neutraly floating around in the background 😂
We need more history videos
Like how heavy started as russia, and ended as america. This is so heavy. :3
What? Scout was Russia. Heavy was Archduke Franz Ferdinand, the Ottoman empire and America.
@@cicerobully i bet he thought it was stalin or something because of mustache
@@nerfiy8004 Lmao
Anyways, I think heavy is dead.

We need more of these. My first video I watched on this channel was the Turbulence History one. (Didn’t watch when it released though)
Same but I'm happy I stayed around
I didn't even realize it was by him and only knew once he said it was his highest watched video, so it was the first one I watched from this channel before actually subscribing and watching vids
1:04 German financical aid to Ottomans:they collapse
I’m pretty sure the Turbulence WW2 video was how I found this channel. Cool to see the tradition continue.
I can’t wait for the day I actually learn something incredibly valuable from these edits.
America being the only one to come out relatively unharmed is pretty accurate to real life.
It helps when you don't actually declare war on anyone for a few years then get to real all the benefits
@@ethanstyant9704 It’s not their fault that the Europeans decided to throw themselves headfirst into the meat grinder with their soldiers. They had no papers declaring that they have to fight.
I love how scout (who's from Boston) was russia, and heavy was america
48°14'33.2''N 15°12'09.1''E is the Ferdinand museum. It's closed right now.
Thats a rather random fact to be presenting me at exactly at this moment
@@palindromicout7702 well yes, but it's a random fact found within this video. The coordinates are in this video on a vase
"Floridians and Austrailians had to work side by side during WW1" I honestly don't which one of those is more terrifying..
If my history teacher put this on I would respect his taste in videos
I love How heavy was the Ottoman Empire when he was on the surgery table. That's a nice reference.
The Ottoman Empire was definitely the sick man of Europe during this period of history. Wwi was its death throes.
@@crimsondynamo615 It actually did pretty well for a dying empire, it litterly f*cked Allies at Gallipoli.
2:42 Note: Versailles was specifically for Germany, iirc the treaty for the Austro Hungarian Empire was the Treaty of St Germain
After spending a good portion of this year learning about the 1905 Russian revolution, it’s causes and consequences, that part with scout was bloody hilarious.
I'm a bit confused. The joke in the video was about February and October Revolutions of 1917. I know about 1905 and it's consequences, but why exactly 1905?
DrSpore the February revolution was one of the consequences we were learning about so we basically just covered all of that period.
The Romanian Army was not terrible, it achieved multiple victories against Austro-Hungarian forces and only lost their liberation war of Transylvania due to how the Germans ground them down along with their supplies which would make any army in the world at that time lose. And Romania did contribute a lot, Romania opened another front and forced central powers men and resources to be taken away from the main fronts.
That's a joke, lads
also when they were on the defensive in moldavia they had many successful defensive battles against the german army like at marasesti
the editing and tracking of the flags is so good in this
Am am from Serbia, and our country didn't planed assasination on Gavrilo Princip, aka Franz Ferdinant(his death started WW1), but it was usefull for litle for us. Small group of people in Bosnia (that didn't liked Gavrilo Princip, because he was prince from Austria, and that group hated people from Austria) planned assasination, and then they left country and went in Serbia. People from Austria thought Serbia hired people in Bosnia to kill Gavrilo Princip(becuse they knew that we woild have some use from Gavrilo's death) and then they declared war on Serbia. Then other countrys joined, and WW1 was started.
This was pain to write, because i writed on phone.
Just got done with my ww1 unit in history a few weeks ago, found this.
Sums up everything I learned over the course of months in not quite 3 minutes
Its funny how austria hungry says: Its tradition. 2:28
after watching it months later i still find it funny"heavy is alive, hes nice"

As others have said in the past, youtube videos have a more interesting way of conveying history, and this is by far the most interesting one I’ve seen
Just finished learning about WW1 in my history class lmao
I have a test on WW1 this next week so this will help, THANK YOU!
As a British person, Demoman being Britain made me wheeze.
As a romanian person, I think there's a bigger diference between soldier and Romania than Demoman and Great Britain, considering that Scotland is inside Great Britain
Funny how I stumbled upon this video when I started learning about WW1 in History class. Great edit btw!
As a Serbian this is one of the funniest things ive seen today

Now this is my kind of history class.
Not only it got good editing but also good accuracy and historical facts

Been a while since I watched "The Heavy is Dead". Also a while since I saw anything WWI, so that's good to. Anyways good stinkin job on that editing there well done good sir.
seeing sniper as France was something I didn’t know I needed
also scout is Russia so there’s that
This is surprisingly accurate, totally better than sitting 1:30:00 minutes sitting through a PowerPoint :)))))
These kind of videos are the one exception in which I'll enjoy watching educational content.
After all this time, the edits still roll in from the original Timeless Masterpiece,

The cycle continues, The Reapers were right!
Ignoring the above reference, stellar job on this Sam
This is indecypherable. I love it.
Better than any WWI history lecture out there
Great work!
The sequel we all needed
Forgot Italy doing random shit, from losing badly to then curb stomping Austro-Hungary and German troops on its own, some fu***ng how. Also, it would have been nice to meme out that Ottoman pain in the ass train a bit more. I get its already a bit forced in, this alone is magnificent, splendid work amigo!
You know a historical meme is good when you have to watch it again practically frame by frame for all the little details you know you missed
" 'Cause you fat boi, and another thing.. you are ugly" amazing. Never gets old

I hate that this actually helped me learn more about WWI.
This was a work of art
I knew nothing about WWI before this…
I still don’t, but now I’m entertained
This is great, I need more
If making history jokes based off of tf2 animation once a year is a tradition, I think you should make a playlist on that.
As a history nerd i can confirm this is how ww1 started
I had a feeling it’d be a spoof on the turbulence video, aka your most popular video
