I landed in Pisa last year and spent a couple of days before travelling further into Tuscany and Umbria. I thought the city was a bit rough around the edges but certainly had some charming piazze and a decent nightlife. Definitely MUCH more affordable than Florence and with more Italians to talk to!!

wondering about the room where bags need to be left, prior to walking up the tower of Pisa. are there lockers? or is it sort of an honour system? a bit worried that it's the latter
The tourist office opposite the tower will store your bag. It’s free and safe and manned by a staff member
