HDMI ARC from TV and Aux will give you 2 channels only. Optical only can give you 5.1 audio support.

Dear Tech world i am using Air tel HD set top box , i connected Blu ray player via optical cable to Air tel DTH, sound is very low when i select Dolby or Dolby plus in airtel box setting- all speakers seem to work ( with low sound coming from rear ones), but when i change it to stereo, Center and only front two work -sound is high, but without effects.

You can increase volume for each audio channel from your Home theatre or blue Ray player. Try to search this option in Dolby mode. Dolby mode option will only enable when your audio input is active, playing from HD Box etc.
Still you have to improve your demonstration both with your physical equipments and also your way of demonetisation. Your demo should reach the people without any doubt and in such a way it should be. ...

Thanks for the information. I have Phillips home theatre but no digital input in it i regret having it but sound quality wise no one stands beside Phillips. Before buying i heard lg, Samsung, sony, Panasonic and Phillips. But Phillips had the best sound quality, so.. but i donot have enough audio input except for RCA left and right. Can i get 5.1 surrounding sound in coaxial input?
Yes. There is s solution. You may buy a digital optical to coaxial converter. So take optical signal from tata sky and feed coaxial and you may enjoy 5.1 ch sound on your Philips System.

Check if your Home theater had HDMI or Optical input. Normally only 5.1 or 7.1 Speaker systems has these options.

No it will not work.... If you have av receiver then its work otherwise other home threater wouldn't work.

How to connect aux input home theatre
1. CONNECT HDMI cable to ARC TV and ARC Home Theater system. It's the Best case.
2. CONNECT Optical cable to TV and Set Top Box. Average case scenario.

use optical cable from STB to Sony for easy setup. else STB HDMI to TV HDMI then TV optical output to Sony theatre Optical input.
ARC feature not there in ur Sony theatre for another option.

If it has only Left & Right RCA input in your home theatre then you will not receive Dolby sound. It must have HDMI or digital optical or analogue coaxel input in home theatre or dvd player or sound system. Hope it will help you.
Note coaxel input or output is almost discontinued by hardware manufacturers.

+Rajkumar Dhara You can connect this model using HDMi or optical IN options. This Sony model must have 2 HDMI input option. So Connections will be like, STB HDMI out to Sony HDMI In and Sony HDMI out to TV HDMI input.

I hope there should be options in your LG home theater to increase volume for every audio channel, for Front Left -Right, Rear Left-Right & Sub-woofer and central speaker. This option will generally enable when home theater mode is in Dolby Sound Input or optical Input enabled. In my Panasonic this option is there. You can google it with your model number
Dolby digital means audio voice comes only from centre speaker and effects from rest of the 4 speakers.. That's why low Volume in DD..
Not Today left right and centre sound the same !!! And rear one are two low
In dolby digital rear only works for effects..
In this case try to search 'Channel Select' Button on Home Theater remote and keep Both Front LR, Rear LR and Center volume equal that is to Zero level. ( Generally Volumes levels are from -5 to +6 for each channel in Dolby Mode only) so you will hear effects from Rear speakers better. Note :- This Feature (Selecting volume level for each channel) will be activated only when HT gets Dolby Digital Audio input signal.

Sony Rox Broadcasting is Dolby plus but again sometimes audio outputs depends on the film or songs playing. In few Movie songs you will get better 5.1 effects

note: i already connected an hdmi arc from my smart tv to home theater. my sony home theater also have optical.
1) audio to home theatre using optical cable & then select proper audio input in Home theatre to play audio 2) Video to TV using HDMI from STB. Here you have to keep audio mute on TV.
Note:- Only Dolby Digital+ / (5.1) channels will provide you excellent sound quality in home theatre otherwise sound will come in Stereo mode even in some HD channels same as SD channels.
Also please check if your ARC carries Dolby sound.
